I am part of the world’s best road crew and this is my emotional end-of-tour post.
This gig seemed too good to be true. If you work long enough in this town, you know a lot of gigs are like that.
This gig wasn’t that gig. This gig was really really good.
This was, in no small part, due to the humans who made it all happen. The ones on stage and behind the scenes. The ones tuning guitars under the stage and rigging lights up in the rafters. The ones who fed us meals and snacks and took care of us when we weren’t feeling our best. The ones who drove around the country us and made sure we got where we needed to go safely. The ones who chose to spend their money and time to go out and see live music performed by real people.
I never once let myself take this job for granted. We all could feel this tour was special. I am so proud to have been a part of the Free the Machine tour - an absolute masterclass in what is possible when an artist isn’t afraid to take risks and honor their creative vision (the rest of Nashville should take note!).
Thank you Eric, Katherine, and management for the commitment to that vision. Thank you @eleonoredenig for trusting me with the seat. And thank you to everyone involved for making us feel like family and giving us the experience of a lifetime.
Nashville, I’m home. Let’s make something beautiful.

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: if you aren’t going to take a second to look at @classical.615 before coming at me for taking away graphic design jobs, let me clarify that I do all my own graphics and always have 👋 Yes, I am musician but I’m also a graphic designer, photographer, videographer, and more.
I have an assistant whom I pay an hourly wage. She was using the template I made her to fill in concert info every single week for our weekly posts. It was hours (and money) spent on tedious, uncreative work. I would rather her spent those hours brainstorming and helping execute creative connections and collaborations.
In a late-stage capalist world ruled by billionaires, we as artists and humans have to make a million small decisions every day about how we partipate in this hellscape. Do I take that plane ride to the gig that contributes to carbon emissions? What about the drive to the gig? Well, I can’t afford to not do the gig. Maybe if I do enough gigs, I can afford an electric vehicle (probably not tho)?? But I also heard the batteries are terrible for the environment so??? Do I keep my music on Spotify? I can’t really afford to not have that revenue. Fuck Mark Zuckerberg and this mind-numbing app but also I need to post on it so people know when I have new music to listen to on SpOtIfy???
The mental gymnastics we go through in this world as a person who cares about people, the world, art, and goodness is exhausting. All we can do is decide where the line is for ourselves and do the best we can everyday to hold it. My line is that I don’t ask AI to do anything that I wouldn’t have spent hours doing myself. And I never ask it to make music. Your line can be different than mine and I don’t fault you (unless you are making music and art that is 100% generated by AI, that is dumb 👎🏻).
But don’t come at me on Instagram of all places pretending you are without fault. Nitpicking folks who are doing their best divides us when what we really need to be doing is coming together.

Dropping my collab with @sunomusic 🤘

Chicago! @acmchicago’s Sound of Silent Film Festival is next Wednesday, April 8, and I’m lucky enough to be one of the featured composers. All the scores will be performed live, and I will be there to simply sit back and enjoy - a treat for me because I usually am playing as well! Join me at the @musicboxchicago at 7:30. Get tickets now at acmusic.org

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
