For the last two years, I don’t think a day went by when in some shape or form I didn’t think about this documentary; from the days of climbing trees in my parent’s backyard hoping to catch a special moment with Duduś to the final days of post-production, sitting inches away from the computer screen, teary-eyed from squinting while adjusting the subtitle font shadow opacity for the millionth time. It felt like there was always something.
And now, the film is done and it has a new home online. My brain almost feels a bit empty or maybe lonely is a better word. I always had the documentary to think about. And now, there’s this eerie calm silence. It’s very bittersweet though. The lingering question of “what’s next” is starting to make its rounds. What IS next?
For now, I find myself gazing out the window looking for birds and cheering on squirrels that chase each other up and down trees. Oh no, I think that’s just me getting older.
Playing this Saturday at the Music Box Theatre! Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:30am for the Shorts Program 1. If you’re around, come through. One of the coolest festivals in Chicago, in one of the most iconic theatres.
A few years back I was down in Florida working on @bouncybrothersdoc with @nicholasjsantore and @13ravo_. Hot and long days and a lot of figuring out things as we went. Constantly learning your instincts, trusting them, messing up, adjusting, and going again. Proud of what it became.
The doc film itself lives somewhere in that in-between space- brotherhood, second chances, chasing something that might not work out but doing it anyway. There’s a lot of heart in it. Really grateful for that time, the small but mighty crew, and everything it taught me <333

Two days before the shoot, I was asked if I could do the gallery portraits. The day of, I grabbed a backdrop from Samy’s, found a garage next to set, and borrowed a few Arri lights from the electric department.
Cast members kept knocking every few minutes. I’d pull them in, pose fast, keep it loose, and send them back out.
It was my first gallery shoot, terrifying and exhilarating, but seeing all of these photos come together to create the poster is something special.
Seeing fan art inspired by it afterward has been one of the coolest parts. @xakolev

Photos from the first feature film I worked on as a unit still photographer in California, 2023. Learned a lot on this one, especially seeing how I far I can push my camera in low light. Horrors quickly became one of my favorites to photograph. Hire me @terrifierartclown
Respect to indie filmmaking <3

2025 brought the highest highs and the lowest lows.
1. Traveled to Vietnam, rode the Hà Giang Loop, and proposed.
2. Lost a friend.
3. Made a film called Bouncy Brothers. Shot it as cinematographer and watched it find its way into festivals, including Big Sky.
4. Went snowmobiling for the first time.
5. Traveled to Poland to work on my next documentary, Long Distance. Coming 2026.
6. Lost my aunt.
7. Did behind-the-scenes video and photo for the film Dog Years.
8. Tried and mostly failed (it’s a long story) RAGBRAI. It’s the world’s largest, oldest, and longest recreational bicycle touring event in Iowa.
9. Worked as the still photographer on the feature film Diary of a Muslim Cynic.
10. Took a shot at working for a news outlet and got assigned my first breaking-news assignment with Reuters.
11. Camped more and remembered how much I need the outdoors.
12. Traveled to Greece. Climbed more and re-ignited my love for it.
13. Worked as the still photographer on the feature film Trash Mountain.
14. Traveled to Mexico for a much-needed break.

Fun phone notes:
Chasing the kind of quiet you only find out here,
where the sky hangs low
and time hums softly through the fields.
Cheese curds and Miller Lites,
a boy with flowers rehearsing forever,
another with a scooter chasing the wind.
Somewhere, a cigarette burns slow,
and the Midwest keeps its secrets.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
