Last year we hosted @ezinesmusic in the basement - they’ve got a new record on @vertigo.perth go and check it out - this time round we’ve got @lazyy.h and @samb.tunes playing an improvised modular electro set and from the sneak peak we got the other day, is going to be amazing.

A week tomorrow our next party is happening at @waitingroomn16 with @lazyy.h & @samb.tunes playing a live modular electro set.

Here’s a selection from our residents @racso.renniks @_noisyneighbour & @chris_airplays you can expect to hear either side of the guys.

Lazy H and Samb are London-based producers and live performers who have collaborated across improvised electronic and jazz live projects. For this show they’ll be bringing their modular electro setup into the basement for something more dancefloor ready.

Emerging from my musical hibernation this Friday for a spectacular harp / modular synth improv session with @biggus.phillus at @paperdresslive .

We’ve been experimenting with combining Irish folk into ambient, experimental and electro – and compositionally I can’t stop noticing the parallels between sequenced bleeps and the plucky nature of the harp. It’s a really unique combo and it slaps (or plucks? 🤔)

We’ll be drinking from 7, playing from 8, with more live music afterwards from @cooks.but.were.chefs . I think it might be almost sold out, so drop me a DM if you fancy coming along! 🪉 🪉 🪉

Here’s the first recording from our gig at @pizzaexpresslive with @solive_sessions last week - this one’s from our tune Body Thaw 🧊

It’s usually a pretty loose track, but with @thisfliss joining us this time, we planned out a rough structure going in. That said, we still went completely off script at the end - I introduced a completely new chord progression, @lukemarzecsworld took a solo, and somehow it all came together.

Honestly, it ended up being one of my favourite moments of the night.

Moral of the story: no matter how big the gig or how nervous you feel, stay loose and trust the jam 😎
