I recently got to interview Edward Thomas on his journey from yacht crew to multiple business owner in the luxury wellness industry.

It was such an interesting conversation and really reminded me of some of the challenges I have faced in my role at @dsnmltd over the last 18 years and more recently with @navigatx

It’s easy to get distracted by what look like financial opportunities but staying true to the core values that you started out with, is in my eyes imperative to keeping integrity in your company… even though that can be hard sometimes!

The legacy of the Titanic disaster has far-reaching consequences in the legislation we still use today.

In this clip, Master Mariner Captain George Mills explains that the SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) convention actually dates back to the Titanic disaster. It was born out of a need to ensure that no vessel, no matter how well-built, ever goes to sea without the necessary safety equipment and life-saving appliances for everyone on board.

It’s been a rough few weeks and saying goodbye to this little legend was nothing less than heartbreaking 💔

No horse liked to win or to eat as much as this 🦄 and I will forever be grateful that she was mine.

Cappellini II, there will never be another one like her, the tiniest little horse but the biggest heart and attitude.

I thought I was in charge.
She knew she was in charge… and that is how it worked best.

She gave me endless unforgettable memories from around the world jumping at shows that I could only of have dreamed of and won me rugs, rosettes and trophies.

Every time I got to take her in the ring was so much fun, she never once let me down and only tried her absolute hardest to clear the jumps (even when I didn’t always make it easy for her)

Having to make the decision that her time was coming to an end was horrible but I took so much comfort knowing she had had the most wonderful retirement under the care of @charlyyriley which was nothing less than she deserved.

Horses give us everything, love, memories, look after us and ask nothing in return.
I hope she knew how much she was loved by everyone who met her and how lucky I felt to be able to be her rider and owner.

𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻 𝗬𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗫 @palmainternationalboatshow

Over 55 women joined @dsnmltd and @warren_maritime for drinks and canapés to kick off the Palma Yacht show.

What started off as a small WhatsApp group for women to connect and share has grown into a community of over 180 women from around the world.

So many lovely conversations but one thing that has become really obvious from organising these special get togethers is that women are coming together, making business connections and there is no competition between us.

Women who work for competitor companies who do similar jobs are not afraid to share and collaborate and can instead build meaningful relationships.

Palma is one of my favourite events of the year, it’s falls at the busiest time for dsnm Ltd and NAVIGATX so it’s always a juggle of being social and keeping the wheels of industry rolling alongside the inbox from exploding but it is SO worth it!

We spent some time on M/Y Go during the @palmainternationalboatshow and the Captain and 2nd officer provided feedback and insights which were, as always, invaluable.

When you get invited to join a “Women in Yachting” event with these powerhouses you don’t say no!

@liscey from @dsnmltdstarted a networking group for women in yachting with the purpose to share information and support each other in the industry so it was a perfect combination to have their event on the @warren_maritimestand.

Add great catering and drinks and this made for a wonderful way to round up Wednesday at @palmainternationalboatshow 😍
