Kat Gollock
I'm Kat, I'm little and I take photos of gigs, events and trees. I’m also 1 of 3 @agitate.scot

So, for the past couple a months, I’ve been chatting to a few truly wonderful music photographers - 28 to be exact - and I’m right chuffed to say that we’ve got some of our photos on a wall for all to see!
THIS IS THE NOISE THAT KEEPS US AWAKE is up @queens_hall NOW! We’re doing it in two waves - so 14 photographers now and the next 14 in September. BUY TICKETS TO GIGS AND YOU CAN SEE THE EXHIBITION!!
Huge thanks to @emmamorti for all the support ❤️
Huge thanks to @garbage for the title inspiration ❤️
And a massive MASSIVE thanks to my fellow photographers on show and in the photo pit - you are all fucking wonders and it’s really been an honour to see all your incredible work and connect with you all.
Being a photographer can be quite solitary and having this chance to pull the threads together and feel part of something great has been a balm. My heart forever to you all. 🕊️❤️🙏

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing MAY DAY curated by @lavery.hannah@cora.bissett33 @ntsonline and a whole host of some of the best artists Scotland has to offer, standing together in solidarity and support for a more hopeful way forward. It was beautiful and emotional and kind and positive and important and full of love. Here’s just a few glimpses from an extensive and inspiring running order. 🕊️❤️🙏

You may have spotted this already but we wanted to share the launch of our new online workbook! ✨💻 As with most things, it's an evolving space, intended as a multimedia repository for thoughts, workings-out, and new perspectives on all the many mechanisms of the photo world.
We're kicking off with a series of short articles from the AGITATE Directors (because, well, we're here). The first post from Kat Gollock is all about finding a creative community, and the trust built in that pause when you share an image and wait to hear thoughts. A wee excerpt:
'The viewers you need are those folks that go quiet for a moment when you lay your prints on the table as they give themselves the space and time to think about what they’re really seeing. They go to say something then stop for a second just to make sure, they really know what it is they’re going to say. In that pause, your images are viewed through the eyes that go beyond the blind optimism of close friends and family and the cash you’re paid to take them.
It’s in that pause that lies the building of the trust that you need to let yourself go and start to believe that your images are worth something. You might not agree with what they have to say and they might not always be right, but that pause and the time those viewers take to speak, is enough to help you find what it is you’re trying to say with your photos.'
Find a way round and through - by Kat Gollock (@littlekatphotos) was published in April 2026. Image used in post also credited to Kat Gollock.

As nature shifts and Spring finally makes itself known, so too does life shift in unpredictable ways and the world continues to be heavy and unknowable. It feels like all the pieces were thrown in the air a few years back, as we were catching a glimpse of a slower way of life, and are now landing in places orchestrated by too powerful a few and we’re all barely surviving the chaos. I feel untethered in a sea of bad news and can see that, in these past few months, I’ve forgotten how to walk through the world with lightness and lost a little bit of who I am in the process. As I scroll through endless reels of productivity and perfection, when I am incapable of either, I am warned of the folly of focusing on someone else’s game instead of your own. As that truth rings through me I see clearly the scars I carry from decades of trying to play by the rules set by others and regret the time I’ve wasted doing it. So I’m off away from this digital playing field for a while, to let myself be in Spring and sun and water and see if I can’t finally figure out a way to play by my own rules and find again a little bit of lightness in the process. 🕊️❤️🙏

Announcing our 2026 ✨ MEMBERS' EXHIBITION! ✨The first showcase of its kind, this is a huge thank you to some of the key supporters that kept us afloat back in 2024 when we began to build what our remote community could be. Without you, your fierce belief, and the ongoing collective power of our photo gang, we wouldn’t be able to exist. So thank you thank you thank you, for being there when we weren’t sure what could come next.
With this show we were keen to go beyond a singular gallery space and collaboratively designed a poster exhibition, pairing photographers in sites across the city.
Pictured is our biggest site on Dundee Street, with work from Zoe Hamill (@hamill.zoe),and Kenneth Gray; Kat Gollock (@littlekatphotos) and Jaime Molina (@jaime.a.molina); Robert John Henderson (@hendersonrobertj) and Miriam Morris (@_.miriam.morris._). For all the info about them, their work, and links to their respective online portfolios, tap the link in our bio and MEMBERS' EXHIBITION for all the deets.
🗺️ We'll be doing a wee 'poster crawl' tonight, leaving 157 Great Junction St at 6:15PM and heading west. If you fancy stretching your legs (and your eyeballs) come join us.
🙏The full list of exhibiting artists is as follows: Heidi Alexander (@heidiale), Alejandro Basterrechia (@alebphotographer), David Buchanan, Dave Ferrie @daveferriephoto), Kat Gollock (@littlekatphotos), Kenneth Gray, Zoe Hamill (@hamill.zoe), Daniel Holden (@dholdenphoto), Robert John Henderson (@hendersonrobertj), Julie Laing (@j_a_laing), Alyson Macdonald (@leith_lens), Kit Martin (@kitmartinphoto), Miriam Morris (@_.miriam.morris._), Jaime Molina (@jaime.a.molina), Christina Webber (@christinawebber), Paul Wotton, and Sandy Wotton. This is a self-elected group from a larger pool of brilliant supporters. We'll be posting pictures of all the sites over the next few days.

And so today on International Day of Happiness, I’m posting photos of my favourite tree and the riverbank it sits on and the sun and sky it lives under. This tree that has outlived my village 5 times over, must have bore witness to so much happiness, I think. And I hope it bears witness to so much more beyond these days that feel so heavy.
As I sit in its shadow for a moment, I think about the friend I spoke to this morning and the things we’re going to make, and another friend who messaged about the photos that we three made together that are still making memories around the world. And so more memories of more friends I’m lucky enough to hold dear came to mind that bring me more happiness again and again. And I think about how I miss my little family, even though it’s only been 4 days since I was able to see them, and how I feel happy that I love someone enough to miss them this much. And how all these things didn’t cost a penny and brought me more happiness than anything I could have ever spent my money on.
How weird is it that there’s others in this world that find that a problem and try and convince us all that this isn’t enough to make our lives work?
It’s all of this and more besides that I see in my favourite tree today. And whilst I don’t aspire to be happy all the time, recognising it’s a tricksy little imp that’s hard to keep a hold of and the desire to keep it permanently can drive someone insane, I will today on International Day of Happiness celebrate its goodness.
And if you’re reading this and feel like you can’t find a way through to what makes you happy, I hope you have someone close enough nearby that can lend you a bit of theirs until you’re ready to be able to feel it again. Just ask them, I’m sure they won’t mind at all. 🕊️❤️🙏

Last week I walked in the snow and watched as the Earth became grey and white and the branches and sticks looked like bones of a skeleton. As my hands hurt from the cold, I stepped in a puddle that went over my boot and drowned my sock in freezing water. Although inclined to carry on, I heeded nature’s warning and turned back towards the warmth inside and felt a renewed desire to live by the speed of the Earth and listen more when I felt sure it was speaking to me.
But then I watched a snowplough clear the way so we can all hurry up and get back to work and keep the world moving, rather than rest in the warmth and let the snow slow us down, and I felt guilty for ever thinking that was an option. In that moment, I saw the difference between the Earth with its weather and cycles and rest and life, and the World with its work and money and pace and burn-out.
The Earth is nature in sync with all its parts; The World is concrete and growth and all of us against the other.
But in the blank canvas of the landscape, I swear I saw that other way, as I know you can too sometimes. You know that other way that sits in the corner of your eye, just out of view, that you believe is there but can’t quite believe is real. That other way that lets us live on this Earth but not in that world, that benefits the many and not just the few and whilst we’re told to turn away from it and forget it’s there, you always find yourself wondering what would happen if you just….

2025-ish in books and presented against a whole new wall in a whole new home. Each book, whether I liked it or not, has taught me something new, taken me somewhere different and encouraged me to think beyond what I already know. I never stop feeling blessed to have access to books to read and a safe home to read in. And although that doesn’t seem much, it is enough and, in this current world, where war continues to rage and books continue to be banned, it is not a given.
As ever this post comes with a plea to shop local and buy from independent retailers and always always BUY FROM BOOKSHOPS NOT FROM BILLIONAIRES. At the very least buy from ANYWHERE BUT AMAZON. Books not pictured I got from my library USE YOUR LIBRARY or we will lose them.
Thank you to the writers and storytellers who keep on keeping on. You are my rockstars and my guides. And to the establishments that feed my habit, keep fighting the good fight.
@wedalebooks @typewronger @portybooks @lighthousebks @argonautbooks @mainstreethare and many more, I salut you 🕊️❤️🙏

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
