Earlier this year I caught my first project from Asad Ill, Black Sheep 2, which I loved! Since that, Asad Ill has dropped a few projects and I gotta do better about keeping up! I partially blame algorithms but that’s a discussion for another day. When I saw this pop up I immediately downloaded it and had to get into it! Produced by CALL ME TWO, these two let the heat off.

A quick project, 7 songs and 15 minutes. But Asad Ill and CALL ME TWO both pack a lot into this bite. Law 21 was the first song and one I liked and grew on me but the beat just wasn’t my favorite in this song. I’m notoriously mixed on guitars heavily featured in my Hip-Hop. Yet this song still rang off and more importantly Asad Ill still cooked up. After that everything was just what I’d hope for from Asad, amazing lyrics, flows & melodies across a selection of incredible beats.

Law 21 was the only beat I wasn’t into, but outside of that CALL ME TWO brought some deep and soulful production. Perfect for Asad Ills deep lyrical style. Don’t Let Em is a great song with a slow and methodical beat, which Asad matches pace with, and then It Gets Real follows and is one of my favorite songs. That beat is just a tick faster and so is Asad across the track, and brings some standout bars. “All I actually can plan is planting seeds for days it rains”, sheesh!

Law 9 is a song I actually thing could work on the a radio or a more commercial level and I don’t think that was even particularly the goal for the song.And on top of that it’s a great track. Wilton Pl has the only feature with Pistol McFly, a good song and both MCs delivered strong verses. What It Is is another standout song with a beat and vocal sample that keep things smooth and uplifting. Asad says “I was taught to teach a lesson you don’t fight with the students”, bars like that fill this project and are exactly what I like out of Asad Ill.

Once again in 2026 Asad Ill has brought the heat! Spitting high level bars across a selection of dope beats, this time provided by CALL ME TWO. Asad Ill is looking like a rising star the more I hear and see and I gotta catch up on a bunch of music from him!
