Atsuhiko Suematsu Gallery（東京・赤坂）では、写真作品を主題としたグループエキシビジョン「視覚の詩学 -Frames of Time-」を開催いたします。
本展は、吉増剛造（1939-）、加納典明（1942－）、
荒木塁（1977-）の3名を中心に、様々なアーティストの作品によって構成されます。

現代を代表する詩人でありながら、映像や造形など多岐にわたる創作領域で世界的な評価を得ている吉増剛造は、1990年代以降、写真を重要な表現手段のひとつとして制作を続けてきました。
これまでに「声ノマ全身詩人、吉増剛」造展」（2016年・国立近代美術館）、「涯の詩聲 詩人吉増造展」（2018年・松濤美術館）などで多くの写真作品を発表しています。
今回は、1999年から2000年にかけて制作された、多重露光写真に言葉を添えた小作品群を展示いたします。「パランプセストの庭」と題して2000年に発表された本作品群は、その後の吉増剛造による写真作品の方向性を示すものとなっていきます。

個性的なポートレートで広く知られる写真家
加納典明は、名古屋市立工芸高等学校を卒業後、1962年に写真家・杵島隆の助手として活動を始めました。翌63年にはフリーランスの写真家として独立し、数々の重要な写真集を発表しています。本展では、1969年にブライベートでニューヨークで撮影したシリーズ「NewYork 1969」を展示します。27歳の青年として単身ニューヨークの街に向き合った加納の視線は、強さと華やかさを併せ持った作品として確立された表現となっています。

荒木塁は、16歳でプロスケートポーダーとしてデビューし、その後90年代後半からNYCのデッキカンパニー
“ZOO YORK”に所属するなど、現在まで世界を舞台に活動しています。一方で荒木は日々の移動の中でフィルムカメラを携え、人物や風景を撮影し続け、自宅の暗室で伝統的な手法によるプリントを行う写真家でもあります。
本展では、作家にとって重要な場所の一つである香港で撮影された代表作、最新作を含むプリント作品を展示いたします。

各分野で時代を牽引してきた3名のアーティストが、世界各地で見つめた視点を紹介するとともに、国内外の写真家たちによって1950年代から2000年代にかけて撮影されたプリント作品を併せて展示いたします。

Following the success of “CCConnecting Japan – Colour of the Trap: A Solo Exhibition by Sir Dandy” at DOWNLOW Gallery (Tokyo, June 2025), the collaboration between Canvas Confluence Collective, spaCCCe, and curator Kei Sato continues to evolve.

This second edition brings three icons from Tokyo’s underground art and skate scenes to Jakarta, presenting works that connect culture, movement, and identity.

DISKAH — A self-taught artist active since the 1980s, blending painting, photography, and street culture. Known for his dynamic freehand style and collaborations across fashion and music, including backdrop art for Hi-Standard.

MOZYSKEY — Since the 1990s, he has redefined graffiti through hybrid scripts of alphabets, kana, and kanji, transforming letters into pure visual energy that celebrates Tokyo’s underground edge.

Lui Araki — Professional skateboarder and photographer, long associated with ZOO YORK. His film photography captures raw emotion and fleeting moments across Japan and beyond.

Connecting Japan Vol.2 is where art meets motion, street meets gallery, and two creative worlds continue their dialogue.
