Die ukrainische Künstlerin Lesia Vasylchenko (@lesia_____vasylchenko) verarbeitet in ihren Arbeiten den russischen Angriffskrieg auf die Ukraine. Sie kombiniert Archivmaterial, eigene Aufnahmen und digitale Technologien zu eindringlichen Szenarien über Krieg, Erinnerung und Zeit und stellt damit die Fragen: Wie lässt sich Krieg sichtbar machen? Und wie erinnern wir, wenn Städte, Landschaften und Biografien zerstört werden?

Die Ausstellung zeigt immersive Installationen: Die Videoinstallation »Chronosphere« (2024) verknüpft zerstörte Landschaften, CGI- und KI-Bilder, sowie materielle Zeugnisse des Krieges, wie Erde aus Hostomel oder geschmolzene Fragmente zerstörter Häuser. Eine junge Weide symbolisiert Resilienz inmitten der Verwüstung. Mit »InSAR« (2025–26) verbindet Vasylchenko zerstörte Häuserfragmente mit Satellitenbildern – materielle Überreste und technologische Überwachung treten als parallele Zeugnisse eines Krieges auf.

Join us for the opening of BAR ISSUE #3 – the third edition of our ongoing exhibition series, where seven artists working across painting, sculpture, photography, and drawing come together. The exhibition is curated by @luisa.seipp and invites their distinct voices into dialogue, exploring how diverse practices intersect, collide, and resonate within the intimate setting of PETER‘S.

The opening takes place on Saturday, 18th October from 7 pm until late. There will be welcome bubbles for the first ones arriving, special drinks and special DJ sets.

Rather than erase differences, the works lean into it—sitting in the tension between self and other, inside and outside, safety and exposure. Some boundaries harm, others protect. This show holds that paradox, asking what it means to live and connect in a world shaped by visible and invisible barriers—and how we might imagine new ways of being together.
