The feeling of overcoming cancer be like ✨

Don’t look at me, I just deleted my entire life plan at 2am and called it realignment.

Manifestation is real and fun to watch it unfold a year, 2 years or even 10 years later.

When I picked up my camera just for funsies, I thought “would be so cool to work with an Indigenous brand, work with one of canadas modelling agencies, get on print magazine and have my work featured in Vogue with other creatives”. Not thinking too much of it until I started pulling my portfolio together. Then I realized, well shit…

It happened. And I didn’t reflect until after. Achieving milestones isn’t something we often don’t reflect onuntil we review our life as if we are 15 again. 15 year old me would have thought, I “made it” I’m successful with these achievements but they are simplyjust that in another timeline.

Photography was my hobby-turned work. I did it without pay, because I enjoyed creating with others and taking beautiful photos, until contract proposals started appearing in my email. That part of my brand grew locally. While I was working as a digital designer professionally. This “hobby” ended up taking me to places.

It may not be much but to me this proves just that, these huge milestones we view may look small to us now. Because we are so used to it, but we are manifesting as we continue to hone our craft, people recognize your craft and opportunities happen. And it’s so simple. Just create, create and create. Anything is bound to happen.

I am ready to come back to create and I miss it soo much. Thank you to all my friends who believed in my work. ❤️

After many years of contemplating of changing my name legally, I have decided that it’s time.

I’ve always felt a bit disconnected from my birth name, like wearing a coat that doesn’t quite fit. It was chosen by a distant relative, not even my mom, which always struck me as odd lol. It felt more like a placeholder than a part of who I am.

For me, names are more than just ‘tags’, they carry a weight, a vibe, an essence that should match who you are at the core. And the name I was given just didn’t fit the person I’ve grown to be.

So, after years of thinking it over, I’ve decided I am going to go through with the change. It feels like a big step, a personal ceremony of sorts, where I’m finally taking control of my identity and my story. This isn’t about shedding my past, that’s still a part of who I am. But it’s about making sure that my name reflects my true self as I move forward.

It’s about honouring who I’ve become and stepping into the future as the person I am meant to be. It’s going to take time to fully integrate my new name in life and with people, but I just know it’s going to feel liberating walking into this new version of myself.
