I don’t show my face around here too much and am almost never in front of the camera (the last time I took a headshot was 5 years ago,) but I thought it’d be a good time to introduce you to the person behind the camera. So this is me!

My name is Madeline Tolle (pronounced Tahl-ee) I’m a midwestern-born (now) California girl (never leaving, sorry mom!) I love being a photographer and sometimes cant believe how I fell into this niche of interior photography. When Im not photographing interiors, I’m working on documentary photo projects about the environment. Outside of work, I knit sweaters and read a lot a lot. I love animals, and the ones that live with me are my cute little mutt, Henry, and a sweet girl kitten, Freddy.

This time last year in Normandy. I've always felt like the medallion on this house looks like a heart. Is there anything more wonderful than a house that looks like it loves? 💛

It was an absolute joy to photograph this gorgeous hillside backyard for @ferox_studio now featured on @sunsetmag I couldn't pick a favorite element if I tried, but I will say that I particularly loved photographing the outdoor shower which feels like a secret oasis.

More is more is more! My favorite thing about photographing @chendesigns home was all of the unique art filled objects and the way everything was layered together with a sense of humor. Her home is small, but it just feels so incredibly rich.
