Incredible few days in Istanbul for the closing gala of @istanbultiyatrofestivali ❤️ amazing to see the new adaptation of NORA: A Doll’s House directed by @selinsenkoken and starring @tugce.altug @denizceliloglu_

The concept behind the score came from a series of isolated cries, synthesized drones and repeated solitary piano notes that manifest in a two hour anxiety build leading toward the final scene - where an unexpected turn of events are revealed.

The trust and communication I felt throughout the process of working with Selin was really special and I feel so lucky to have had so much freedom to experiment while equally being inspired by her ongoing ideas and concept builds.

This adaptation feels scarily relevant today within discussions of gender equality and societal relationships, & I loved all the conversations I had throughout the process of developing the music ❤️
