Back for Light Night Wigan 2025: Ian Douglas & The Magic Lantern! 🏮✨
The Magic Lantern is a unique contraption that travels the land with its team of storytellers, musicians, and puppeteers, sharing and gathering stories, lighting up woodlands, bringing joy to doorsteps, and creating magic wherever it goes. Developed with generous support from @aceagrams, this experience is a purpose-built space for storytelling and shadow puppetry.
Originally conceived as a Covid response project, The Magic Lantern allows performers to create work that is both honest and beautiful, whether inside the lantern or amidst its audience. Its screens work as positive devices to engage and immerse both audience and participants in the world of Story and Shadow. It is as magical on the inside as it is on the out 📚
