Hey every1

lately, I’ve been noticing just how much new music is being released by artists in Berlin, and it’s been hard to keep up!
So I started writing down all the artists and their new tracks that I wanted to check out — only to realize that there’s A LOT .
That’s when the idea came to me: why not put together a DJ mix featuring only music from Berlin artists, all released in 2024?
I decided to include a wide range of genres and focus mostly on independent artists. However, after some consideration (and realizing that an hour-long mix on SoundCloud might not be the most accessible option), I adjusted my plans accordingly.
So I ended up curating a playlist instead. You can find it on Spotify, TIDAL & Apple Music (links in bio).

If I included every artist with unreleased material, vinyl-only releases, or those who haven’t yet put something out in 2024, the list would be close to 150!!! I’m not claiming that this playlist is exhaustive or that it represents the entire Berlin music scene—such a claim would be both arrogant and impossible. This is simply a humble attempt to showcase the diverse and colorful mix of artists currently making music here, all based in Berlin (as far as I know), all released in 2024.

The process of listening to all these releases and putting the playlist together was truly exciting and inspiring for me. I hope it brings you some joy, excitement, inspiration, or at least helps you discover some of the incredible talent working right alongside you. This release follows on from last Summer's MF DOOM cover 'Arrow Root', which received support from the likes of DJ Koco & DJ Jazzy Jeff.

The new instrumental reinterpretation of 'Change' also features scratches by Leicester-based turntablist, musician & former DMC World Online Champ, Jon1st.
