In the rural Indian village of Kali Beri, about 10 miles north of Jodhpur, @saheliwomen work to preserve and promote traditional Rajasthani textile arts—and the livelihoods of its skilled craftswomen.
The area has long been known as a global center of textiles, but after nearly two centuries of British colonial rule, machine looms became standard, replacing handmade fabrics that had sustained generations of artisans. In the past 20 years, however, a revival has taken root across the state.
Writer @lesliepariseau spent the day with the group and its founder, Madhu Vaishnav. The collective is capable of full-cycle production—from sourcing and making fabrics to designing, dyeing, stitching, and creating clothing for its namesake label, as well as for a dozen designers around the globe.
But the group isn’t just about the production of these fabrics. Saheli Women’s workshops provide built-in education for both the artisans and their children: many are learning math, literacy, and chemistry alongside mastering their complex craft, and the collective is working to open a vocational school by early 2027.

An Italian carousel with carriages made of giant fruits and veggies is the whimsy we need right now. 🍐
Artist Laila Gohar (@lailacooks) debuted a produce-themed carousel in Milan this week as part of a collaboration with Arket. It was created from a 1700s-era carousel—among the oldest in Italy—and features carriages made of pears, eggplants, and turnips instead of horses. Catch it on display at Milan Design Week (@milan.design.week) before it’s gone.
📅 ON DISPLAY
April 20-24, 2026
12pm - 8pm
📍WHERE TO FIND IT
Giardino delle Arti, Milan, Italy

Ladakh, in India’s far north, is known for its vast, mountainous landscapes, drawing trekkers and bikers in summer. But photographer Michelle Heimerman (director of photography for SUITCASE’s sister publication, @afarmedia) visited the region in January and found winter just as magical.
“I’ve always been fascinated by documenting the communities and people who live in high-altitude regions: their resilience, their respect for the environment, and their understanding of how powerful nature is,” she says. “Spending a few days in Ladakh in winter meant a quieter season, and the chance to experience the region alongside locals.”

The last night @gaskinsny ! In the two short years we’ve lived in Germantown, you’ve been the best of neighbors. The day we closed on our house, we celebrated with a slice of chocolate cake at the two corner bar seats. In August, we snuck away minutes after our wedding ceremony for a quick toast with our favorite ox eye cocktail at those same two bar seats. And on Sunday, we had one last burger in that corner. Thank you for all you’ve done for our Germantown community 💙

In August, we snuck away minutes after our wedding ceremony for a quick toast with our favorite ox eye cocktail at those same two bar seats. And on Sunday, we had one last burger in that corner. Thank you for all you’ve done for our Germantown community 💙

The last night @gaskinsny ! In the two short years we’ve lived in Germantown, you’ve been the best of neighbors. The day we closed on our house, we celebrated with a slice of chocolate cake at the two corner bar seats. The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
