Help Us Keep Local Venues Alive This Friday
Owner @mark_tester speaks on the current state of SSP, the community it continues to serve, and why spaces like this matter now more than ever.
He also highlights the importance of working alongside artists like @i.kittii, @yungscobaby, @kidsofthesky, and many more creating opportunities for underground talent to express themselves, grow, and be heard.

OUT NOW: MEDS-50
Caldwell/Tester - ‘Homes’
LP + digital
•
Very excited to drop our 50th release and first LP on Medium Sound in the shape of ‘Homes’, courtesy of MEDS heads @mark_tester and @landonscaldwell
Like an easy aural breeze blowing softly from the speakers, Caldwell/Tester return with ‘Homes’, the Indianapolis duo’s proper full-length follow up to 2020’s ‘Little Flower’.
For this outing, Landon Caldwell and Mark Tester have conjured up a patient and fanciful world that seamlessly blends the organic with the electronic. Brief visions of piano, flute, clarinet and trumpet provide sparse passages amongst often barely-there sequences, which whimsically sputter melodies amongst serene synthesized pastures. Thoughtful, intuitive sound gestures and auditory broadcasts from the musical subconsciousness encompass a warm embrace of the utopian elements of the natural world. In other moments, the vibe becomes more wistful, stark, and sometimes ominous, suggesting a direct gaze at the world outside from these oblique, and sometimes imagined, inner sonic plains.

‘Homes’ is the 50th release (and first LP) on the duo’s label Medium Sound, a fitting connection of the circle for the imprint that initially began as an outlet for the pair’s prolific output.
Check out the first single ‘Three Pianos’ at the link in the bio.

CONJURED SPACE, a new immersive audio composition, premieres today in the Northern portion of Garfield Park. I was commissioned by Sonic Potluck to create a library of sounds on a modular synthesizer, then geomapped the audio to locations throughout the park. Non musical ear candy to accompany yr walking.
•
This interactive soundscape is accessible through the @echoesxyz app or through the link in my profile. Simply access the piece, open the app, pop some headphones in and begin exploring the zone. You can also experience (mind)Drift, by @sesseka in the southern portion of the park. Big thanks to @landonscaldwell and @funkoftherob for the opportunity, this was a fun project.
•
Don’t believe this ever comes down or expires, so explore at your convenience ✌️

OUT NOW ON @dronenotdrones —> @landonscaldwell and I have a new split 12-inch with our friends @american_cream_band .. link in profile. Both sides are inspired by the frequencies of the moon. The Caldwell/Tester side (“Moon Bed”) invokes slow motion touching down on the moon, enveloping weightlessness and helplessly staring back at planet earth with total wonder. Also notable, this is my first album art/layout to be featured on a 12-inch.. really pleased with how it turned out! Took a lot of inspiration from the minimalism of old library music records plus the lasting mental image of the eclipse this past spring.
•
Proceeds from this release go directly to @doctorswithoutborders who work to provide urgently needed humanitarian aid in moments of crisis and conflict.
•
Indianapolis release show going down at @statestreetpubssp next Thursday October 24 with Caldwell/Tester, @heathg___ and @stephenorban_ all playing transportive sets that will hopefully move your mind to a more peaceful plane (if only for one evening).. 100-percent of the door for this show will also be donated to Doctors Without Borders
•
Big thanks to Nathan and the American Cream Band crew, Luke and Drone Not Drones, @michaelgallope for the incredible liner notes, Doctors Without Borders for the much needed work they do and anyone who checks these tones out. PEACE ✌️

UH OH WORLD 3/25/20
•
Been sitting on a bunch of solo bootlegs, one-off experiments and improvised recordings from the last several years.. I like them, but they’re not necessarily the vibe for the record(s) I’ve been working on, so wasn’t sure when a good time to start dropping these would be.. so why not now, ya know?
•
UH OH WORLD was recorded in my old duplex over by Brookside Park on March 25, 2020.. No overdubs, just live and improvised Moog Prodigy, wah pedal, loop pedal and Maestro Rhythm King drum machine.

Hello everyone.. Been kind of quiet lately but I’m happy to finally announce that I’ve taken over ownership of @statestreetpubssp
Places like SSP have meant so much to me growing up where access to any kind of outsider or underground music was few and far between. Similarly striped venues all over the country were my lifeblood in my 20s..Just scrapping around in a van and plugging in amongst likeminded people and other musicians gave me a sense of community that made me feel like I wasn’t necessarily just hurtling through the void alone.
Taking over management duties at State Street Pub several years ago provided me with the opportunity to try and create a similar feeling for those involved in the many microcosms of music and creativity that flow through the city, and I hope we’ve achieved that as a space in some way.
I’m excited / anxious / optimistic / nervous, but mostly I’m looking forward to and towards the future. I’m learning a lot as I go, but hope we can continue to keep State Street Pub rolling and growing. I appreciate everyone’s kind words and support as this info has dripped out; it warms my heart to feel entrusted with this space and it certainly wouldn’t be able to continue without the many supportive communities that consider SSP a creative home.
Big shout out to all that came before and the current SSP staff. Major love and respect to @peonijimmy for giving me the opportunity to keep it going.
I’ll be hosting somewhat of an Open House this Saturday January 13 at SSP. 7pm-whenever.. No cover, no bands, just pop in and say hi or grab a burger/beer if it’s been a while. I’ll be behind the bar; leave your notes/tips/tricks/“what-you-oughta-do’s”in the suggestion box ✌️
Lots of love and hope to see you at the pub soon,
Mark

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
Anonstories lets users view Instagram stories without alerting the creator.
Works seamlessly on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and modern browsers like Chrome and Safari.
Prioritizes secure, anonymous browsing without requiring login credentials.
Users can view public stories by simply entering a username—no account needed.
Downloads photos (JPEG) and videos (MP4) with ease.
The service is free to use.
Content from private accounts can only be accessed by followers.
Files are for personal or educational use only and must comply with copyright rules.
Enter a public username to view or download stories. The service generates direct links for saving content locally.
