ā€œIndigenous Flowā€

By Victor ā€œMarka27ā€ QuiƱonez

Location Sunset Park Brooklyn NY 36st and 5th Ave.

Mural photos:@tostfilms

'Indigenous Flow' is a magnificent mural paying tribute to the ancestral homelands of Lenapehoking (Brooklyn, NY), Ramapo Munsee Lunaape Nation, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians, and global Indigenous communities. Resolute Indigenous figures take center stage amidst sacred symbols, patterns, and flowing water, symbolizing our interconnectedness and the importance of Indigenous representation.

Also inspired by diverse cultures, including African, Afro-Latin, Mexican, Central and South American, the mural celebrates Sunset Park's vibrant community and harmoniously integrates local flora and fauna from Greenwood Cemetery.

Commissioned by the Brooklyn Nets and Team Mills Foundation,

In partnership with

Patty Mills, The Redhawk Native American Arts Council, PS 958, and Street Theory,

And with special thanks to the NYC Department of Education.

"BROWNSVILLE KING šŸ¤“šŸ¾ā¤ļø OF LOVE" 326 Rockaway Ave Brownsville Brooklyn, NY

Photo Credit: šŸ“ø Gary Judkins @garypivot

Mural in Partnership with @artbridge

Artist: @marka_27
Assistants: @donrimx @jeffhenriquezart

"Brownsville King of Love" Marka27's latest mural dedicated to the Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY community in partnership with Artbridge.

The mural is a larger-than-life image of a local Brooklyn youth wearing a golden crown and holding up a custom jean jacket with the message "Spread Love" and several patches and pins representing Brownsville's diverse culture and notable hip-hop legacy. @duckdownmusic @seandabarbarian @famem.o.p

A pair of boxing gloves hanging from the youth's neck with Brownsville written on them symbolizes the strength and resilience of Brownsville and its legacy of champion boxers like Mike Tyson, Shannon Briggs, and Riddick Bowe, to name a few.

"Brownsville King of Love" is a call to spread love and honor our ancestors by celebrating our cultures, and lifting each other as a community.
Together we shine!

Just days after Victor ā€œMarka27ā€ QuiƱonez’s exhibition debuted on the University of North Texas campus, it was covered up and shut down completely — apparently due to concerns about public response to what the artwork expressed.

Censorship is dangerous. As a public university, UNT is subject to the First Amendment. Silencing artwork displayed on campus just because someone doesn’t agree with what is expressed is wrong.

"OLLIN MOVEMENT"
Year 2025

Artist Marka27

84in X 84in Spray Paint, acrylic, textiles, oil on wood panel.

One of the paintings featured in my solo exhibition "Ni De AquĆ Ni De AllĆ”".

The OLLIN is an ancient symbol, rooted in Aztec/Mexica cosmology and the Nahuatl language, signifies movement, transformation, and cosmic energy.
The original image was photographed on the "R" Train in Manhattan by my friend @mosesmitchellI was working on my street vendor series during this time and we captured a special moment of a mother with child selling candy on the subway train. The child woke up for a split second when the train made a sudden movement then went back to a peaceful sleep. @mosesmitchell caught that moment and the painting came soon after. This piece represents our struggle and movement towards independence and a brighter future for our children. Incorporating the OLLIN symbol, graffiti subway car and indigenous textiles is my way of telling authentic stories through lived experiences.

Models @handsanzatizerzz @curtistic

The original painting of Corazón Ancestral is part of my "Ni De Aquí Ni De AllÔ " solo exhibition that was abruptly taken down by UNT. The painting represents connection to our ancestors and the land our indigenous roots are from. We did not cross the border it crossed us! It also celebrates our dual identity. Millions of us were raised in the U.S by immigrant parents who passed on traditions from our homeland and it's why we cherish two homes that we love.

ELEVAR LA CULTURA HOODIE
Design by Marka27

Model @curtistic

Own a piece of history! Elevar La Cultura is an immersive sculptural installation featuring a twenty-two-foot-tall pyramid built from the objects of everyday hustle—ice coolers reborn as icons and fused with ancestral textiles, sacred symbols, and mural work. Elevar La Cultura stands as both a monument and an offering, fusing street aesthetics, ancestral iconography, and contemporary storytelling into a powerful visual language that uplifts the voices too often left out of traditional narratives. Inspired by the beauty and resilience of immigrant street vendors and undocumented workers across the country, the artwork honors the creativity, labor, and survivance that fuel resilience and build legacy within many hard-working and vulnerable communities.

The new installation from Booker T. graduate Victor QuiƱonez, who uses the artist name Marka27, arrives at a pivotal moment. Just a few days earlier, QuiƱonez’s other touring exhibition, Ni de AquĆ, Ni de AllĆ”, had been abruptly shuttered at the University of North Texas. The exhibit included artwork featuring the language: ā€œImmigration and Cruelty Enforcement.ā€ He learned of the cancellation from students and said he is still being ā€œghosted by UNT.ā€

Outside the Latino Cultural Center, QuiƱonez’s 22-foot installation, Elevar La Cultura, stands fully visible to passersby, and is—crucially—still standing. Read the full story now, at the link in our bio. (šŸ“·: Steven Visneau)

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
