Grammy Awards "Consideration"!!!
I still can't believe that we, The Mark Stinger Bandwere "CONSIDERED for" (but not fully nominated-We were on what they called the long list. 161 artists, many of which were unknown at the time I read it, however, as the years past, a lot of them popped up and are major artists in music industry today) for Nomination by the GRAMMYS! 💥💯 ✨ The Nomination was in 2010 for the "Best New Artist" category submitted by the Philadelphia Chapter of the Recording Academy for our album Still Cookin' & my song "Flyin' South"! The Zac Brown Band won the trophy that year. What an honor just to be considered & in such great company! It still seems surreal! 💥💯✌️❤️🎶✨

I wrote this song in 15minutes waiting for the recording engineer/co-writer, Roycee Martin to come to the studio on a really cold, icy February day kind of like today, when suddenly I saw a bunch birds fly by my back door window. 🪟 I was daydreaming I was somewhere "sunny, warm & 85 degrees"! 🏝️ Good luck to all the nominees! It is with a heavy heart I want to let everyone know.... My sister Meg (Margaret Maska) passed away Monday. She was truly the best! I love her with all my heart. May her spirit live on in everyone that knew her. God bless you all, take care of each other! 🙏❤️🙏🌹
