Calling all filmmakers! Submissions are now open for the 2026 SAG-AFTRA Foundation Shorts Showcase, presented by @citynationalbank.
Open to short films produced under @sagaftra contracts, with SAG-AFTRA artists especially encouraged to submit projects they’ve created.
Selected shorts will screen at our centers in New York and Los Angeles.
Two short films will receive special recognition and $5,000 grand prizes for excellence.

The late Audrey Hepburn was #BOTD in 1929. She is best known for her roles in films such as 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' and 'My Fair Lady.' For her work on and off screen, the iconic actor and humanitarian received the SAG Life Achievement Award in 1992.

We honor the life and extraordinary career of legendary SAG-AFTRA broadcaster John Sterling, whose voice defined generations of baseball. Best known for his more than three decades as the radio voice of the New York Yankees, he brought energy, imagination and unforgettable signature calls to every game. Across a broadcasting career that spanned more than 60 years, he exemplified the power of performance in storytelling — transforming moments on the field into enduring memories. His voice and legacy will always be part of the game. Our condolences to his family, friends and Yankees fans.

SAG-AFTRA and AMPTP Reach Tentative Agreement on Successor to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Contracts
SAG-AFTRA and the AMPTP have reached a tentative agreement on terms for a successor contract to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA TV/Theatrical Contracts covering motion pictures, scripted primetime dramatic television, streaming content and new media.
The tentative agreement is subject to approval by the SAG-AFTRA National Board, which will meet in the coming days to review the terms. The specific details will not be released in advance of the Board’s review.
Negotiations began February 9 and recessed March 15. Talks resumed April 27 and concluded May 2, 2026.
