Chromatographie von Max Kasch – Performance, Länge: ca. 15 Minuten
Inspiriert von einer Gleichsetzung der Farben des Lichtspektrums und den Tönen einer musikalischen Tonleiter in Isaac Newtons Opticks versuchte sich Louis Bertrand Castel an der mechanischen Konstruktion seines Clavecin pour le yeux (Augenklaviers). Von diesen frühen Versuchen der Musikvisualisierung ausgehend begibt sich Max Kasch in seiner Performance auf die Suche nach Analogien zwischen Musik und visueller Kunst. So verbinden sich Farben und Töne, synthetisch erzeugte Klänge und geometrische Formen zur Gleichzeitigkeit eines audiovisuellen Gesamtkunstwerkes. Die musikalische Darbietung bewegt sich hierbei von abstrakten Klängen hin zu einer Kombination aus Gitarrenimprovisation, Synthesizerflächen und Drumcomputern, die an die Musik von Neu!, Harmonia oder Tangerine Dream erinnert und in einen Rausch der Farben und Formen mündet.
