Introducing the Schumacher Dining Room by Max Rollitt at WOW!house 2026.

Conceived as an 18th century dining room reimagined for today, the scheme balances architectural grandeur with warmth, intimacy and joy.

Drawing inspiration from Charles Saumarez Smith’s celebrated book Eighteenth-Century Decoration, the room is unified through @schumacher_uk’s exceptional fabrics. Highlights include the opulent ‘Gavotte Brocatelle’ adorning the walls, ‘Otti’ silk and wool dressing the table, and dramatic ‘Atlas Wool Texture’ curtains framing the entrance.

The space also marks the debut of new @max_rollitt Bespoke designs, including wall lights, a standard lamp and a mirror, alongside signature pieces from the collection such as the Wing Armchair and Seymour Window Seat.

Book tickets now to experience WOW!house 2026 and discover this extraordinary room in person.

The sampler is one of those forms that has a uniquely personal connection to its maker, each worked by hand and often signed and dated.

This 19th-century Welsh example is the handiwork of E. Evans, and depicts the lighthouse at Ynys Enlli, a sailing ship, the Tower of Babylon and other motifs, contained within an intricate foliate meander border and presented in a maple frame.

With thanks to @alexandragossjourno for featuring three of our projects in the @countrylife guide to strong colour in small spaces.

This WC, from a recent project in Chelsea, is among them. Colour-drenched in a strong orange-red, it's lent a certain sense of volume despite its modest proportions.

WC walls and trim: 'Heat' by @littlegreenepaintcompany
Hallway walls and trim: 'French Grey' by @edwardbulmerpaint

Popular throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, tôle peinte pieces balance practicality with artistry, elevating functional items such as trays, teaware and occasional tables through colour and ornament.

This tripod table (c.1850), with its toleware tray top and gilded decoration to the baluster stem, is a wonderful example. Alive with detail, texture and movement, it makes an elegant occasional table beside a chair or sofa.

With less than one month to go until our first-ever WOW!house, the Barn has been even buzzier than usual, with new pieces taking shape, finishing touches being chosen, and a steady flow of visitors helping us bring the scheme to life.

Most recently, we’ve been delighted to welcome our friends at @schumacher_uk, with whom we’re honoured to be creating this year’s WOW!house Dining Room. Getting to know the Schumacher team and exploring their extraordinary historical archive together has been an absolute joy. We can’t wait to share it with you all.

This fine Edo-period Japanese lacquer cabinet is the first of May’s antique treasures. Decorated with floral mother-of-pearl inlay, gilt foliate lacquerwork and engraved gilt-brass hinges, it is a piece of beauty and precision, with extraordinary attention to detail both inside and out.

With thanks to @verandamag for choosing this little corner for the cover of their Ultimate Guide to Antiques. What better excuse to return for a closer look at a favourite project?

Throughout this coastal villa, we used antiques to bring their singular magic to each space. The tangible softness that comes from centuries of use, but also something harder to define – a feeling of humanity, character, and wit.

Here, meeting an old friend, is the final of our #HG101 designers to visit the V&A East Storehouse: Max Rollitt. A long-time admirer of Thomas Chippendale, Max was drawn to an antique chair made for Mrs Garrick, circa 1790 - its simulated bamboo form and gothic detailing striking a familiar chord. He first encountered the chair as a student, visiting the V&A on a college trip; years later, he finds himself standing before it once again. Viewed now through a maker’s eye, it is the construction as much as the aesthetic that captivates: a careful balance of formality and whimsy, with a touch of ‘faux rustication’ that softens its Georgian precision. For Max, it is this tension - between refinement and playfulness - that gives the piece its enduring appeal. Discover more from the V&A East Storehouse and this year’s #HG101 at the link in bio.

We’re very proud to be part of WOW!house 2026 @designcentrech collaborating with @max_rollitt who brings a distinctly British sensibility to the dining room.

Schumacher fabrics refine the space, from lavishly textured walling to layered upholstery and drapery, giving depth, colour, and character to the room.

Inspired by an 18th-century dining room at dusk, the room is rich in atmosphere, craftsmanship, and historical reference.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
