A portrait of life in Australia’s remote opal mining towns—isolated outback communities built on the hope that something precious lies beneath a barren surface.
Set in Kupa Piti (Coober Pedy) and Andamooka, the film follows people drawn to the edges of the outback by obsession. In places shaped by heat, distance, and time, some come searching for opal—and sometimes never leave.
