Maya Iman is a visual storyteller utilizing the mediums of film and photography to craft compelling narratives that resonate with authenticity and emotion.

Maya’s artistic practice is rooted in collaboration, creating safe spaces for authentic expression. By centering the humanity of her subjects, she challenges conventional image-making and fosters social connection within communities of color. Her work is a visual testament to the power of shared stories and perspectives.

Born and raised in Chicago, Maya is based in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
