May Wild Studio @maywildstudio place their signature golden poo splat over the branding logo for @wearelondonmuseum developed by @uncommon.creative.studio 🐦

Hello 👋🏻🐦
We would like to post an update to all the people, friends and collegues in the creative sector who have been in contact with us following the launch of London Museums @wearelondonmuseum brand identity by @uncommon.creative.studio last week which features an urban pigeon and golden poo concept.
The many messages to us were highlighting the similarities to our Coo bird and Golden Pu design and concept. Created and made by us and launched officially in 2018 at @londondesignfair both the ceramic & jesmonite versions (though we actually first created the design/concept much earlier in 2012).
We were also mentored for this design in 2019 by the @craftscouncil as part of their Hothouse programme.
〰️ What do you think about the above image comparing the two (@maywildstudio on the left), we’d be interested to know your thoughts? 〰️
Authentic storytelling is at the core of our social arts practice, our pigeon and golden pu design and concept is rooted in people and place.A story grown out of the city we live in and years in the making.
Our Coo and Golden pu has had many press features over the years inc @materialsource @creativeboom Manchester Evening News and Crafts Council. We are well known and well respected for this design, exhibited UK wide and sold globally, we even created a pigeon Pu brooch in 2019 to compliment the COO bird design.
We felt it was decent and professional to not post on social media until we had reached out to London Museum, they have responded and informed us they don’t agree that their design is similar to ours.
We have however been informed today that the golden poo has since been removed from some of their branding identity platforms (image 2). Though we don’t know if this is the case.
Thank you so much to everyone who has been in touch since last week, we feel very supported in our creative and wider community, we always knew there was a lot of love out there for our Coo and Golden Pu, thank you 🐦 R&M

🐦💩✨ A popular Insta story. A special golden gift from our @maywildstudio Birds. The Golden Pu tells the story of the humble urban pigeon and it’s often vilified status, elevating the value of it’s worse trait, the pigeon droppings in the form of a little piece of good luck Golden Pu. #instastory #gold #birds #goodluck #story #storybehindthedesign #design #designstudio #designermaker #urbaninspiration #emergingdesigner #inthehand #hothouse2017 #packagingdesign #makersgonnamake #morecommonthanyouthink

🐦🐦🐦Thank you to the @museumsassociation for this recent article, we truly appreciate it. This feels a full circle moment.
It was in late July 2024 when Gallery & Museum colleagues and friends first informed us of the new London Museum branding, which they had received as press via @museumsassociation email (Pic 5)
Almost immediately, we began receiving messages and screenshots. One Museum Curator even asked if we had collaborated with London Museum.
That moment felt surreal and so shocking, but above all, incredibly sad.
Years of our creative skill, investment, original ideas and authentic storytelling had been poured into our Coo Pigeon & Pu design, a design inspired by our lived experience in our hometown of #Manchester.
Creativity, originality, transparency and authenticity mean everything to us. As small independent artists, we remain committed to our values and to staying true to them, rooted in people, place and our art.

Thanks again to the ongoing support and expertise from @anti.copying.in.design & @cwmedia_uk @collette.walsh.official and everyone who has reached out and shared our story so far 🙏🐦

We’re excited to share a new heritage exhibition created by the Northern Roots Heritage Champions is now open at Oldham Archives.
This exhibition takes you on a journey through time across the Northern Roots site, exploring the rich history of Snipe Clough, the Victorian visitor destination Strawberry Gardens, and forgotten places such as Cherry Valley.
Curated by Heritage Champions Gemma, Kiran, Roberta and Matt, the exhibition features an interactive digital kiosk where you can access archive images and audio commentary, alongside physical pieces of history, including a beautiful taxidermy snipe, which inspired the name ‘Snipe Clough’.
📍Exhibition on display until 30th June at the new Oldham Archives, accessed via The Loom near the new market.
Want to explore the past in person? Don’t miss ‘From Ruins to Rebirth: A Guided Heritage Walk’ at Northern Roots on Sunday 17th May 1-2:30pm, led by our very own Heritage Champions. Book your free place - https://northern-roots.uk/events/ruins-to-rebirth-heritage-walk/
This project has been made possible thanks to funding from @heritagefunduk and with kind support from @GalleryOldham.
⚪️ Late to post on this, but lovely to see this year long ‘Re-imagining Waste’ co-create project come to fruition last year with an exhibition at @salford_museum by Greater Manchester @pinccollege students.
⚪️We designed and delivered a series of ‘Re-Imagining Waste’ creative workshops across the Greater Manchester @pinccollege campus’s, including Salford Museum, Manchester Museum, Touchstones Rochdale, Macclesfield Museum, and Bolton Museum.
⚪️The workshops explored themes of sustainable and anonymous design, with a focus on sculptural and 3D outcomes. Students engaged with the work of contemporary artists using recycled materials, while also tuning into the everyday waste and packaging we often overlook, transforming it into new and imaginative design outcomes.
⚪️Each student began by creating experimental test pieces, which then informed their final works. These individual designs came together as a collective artwork, exhibited at @salford_museum.
⚪️Well done to all the students for embracing the themes, material, experimenting and co-creatingexpressive, imaginative and innovative outcomes.

✨Big shout out to @wildthingsperformingarts an #Oldham grown performing arts school with a difference ✨
In Wild Things words:
‘In a world that loves to jam everyone into neat little boxes, it’s time to throw confetti and celebrate our quirks! The most successful people, whether wildly ambitious entrepreneurs, big cheese corporate leaders, or just blissfully happy adult, are the ones who proudly strut their stuff and embrace their inner weirdness. So let’s ditch the conformity and unleash our authentic selves… who knows, we might just start a trend of glorious chaos!’
Our daughter absolutely loves this local drama school. It’s fun, expressive, and creative, a space where young people can truly be themselves and discover their unique individuality at their own pace.
@wildthingsperformingarts is also a non-profit CIC, with a huge focus on delivering funded arts projects in the community, opening the door for children across Gtr Manchester who might not otherwise have access to performing arts to experience the joy of it all.
So for @wildthingsperformingarts to be selected to perform in the @bbc @nationallotterygoodcauses Big Night of Musicals, appearing in @anniemusicaluk alongside @lavoixtheshow, has been nothing short of magical, and so well deserved! 👏🏻
We feel incredibly lucky that our daughter has been part of this amazing experience. She’s loved every minute! Huge credit to the Annie team, BBC team, choreographers, safeguarding team, and of course Nancy & @wildthingsperformingarts for their incredible support throughout a whirlwind rehearsal schedule.
You can catch the performance on BBC’s Big Night of Musicals, Saturday 28th March at 7pm 🎭
We can’t wait! 🤩

✨Big shout out to @wildthingsperformingarts an #Oldham grown performing arts school with a difference ✨

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
