Monica Blaire is a Detroit-born singer, songwriter and creative force known for her soulful, genre-blurring approach to music and performance. Deeply rooted in the city’s rich musical heritage, her work draws from soul, funk, house and electronic influences, resulting in a sound that is both classic and forward-thinking.
Over the years, Monica has collaborated with a wide range of producers and artists across the global underground scene, contributing her distinctive vocals to releases on labels such as Mahogani Music, Defected, and Planet E. She is closely associated with Detroit’s contemporary soul movement and has worked with figures like Amp Fiddler, Andrés, and Waajeed.
Beyond music, Monica Blaire is also a multidisciplinary artist, educator and community advocate, involved in initiatives that support creative expression and cultural development in Detroit.
