Realizing that the NYC dating pool had way too much pee in it, I had told several friends that I would quit trying to date in NYC & just focus on being creative & spiritual. While on set for the @ekiden_project_in_nyc documentary (thank you Luna & Ryuma!) I was overwhelmed by your eyes and the energy I saw in them - there was a calm, grounded, deep strength that I saw that literally reminded me of the stillness of the beaches in Aruba. My spirit instantly wanted to starting pouring so much love but out of respect for the documentary staff, as well as you, I didn’t express these feelings right away. I waited, prayed on it, meditated and casted affirmations for 4 months before eventually shooting my shot 😅😅and miraculously, the timing was perfect.

I am a Hip Hop producer, rapper, educator, and former member of the legendary Monsta Island Czars, alongside years of work through G.A.ME, Black VegFest, arigatō, and MANAFEST VISION.

Underground Hip Hop continues to remind me that music is far bigger than entertainment. Hip Hop is the reason I can connect with youth all over the world, regardless of language, culture, or background.

My heart and spirit are full.

This group was supposed to remain on line with their teachers & classmates, but instead they stayed nearby to build, laugh, and connect with me. Eventually the instructors called them back to rejoin. As I was leaving, the children called out to say goodbye and ran back over one more time before being called again✨🙏🏿🙇🏾‍♂️

What touched me most was that they chose connection. They broke away just to share one more human moment❤️🙏🏿💪🏿

Our children are the greatest gifts this planet gives to us. We must protect them, encourage them, and remind them that their voices, creativity, and spirits matter.

I am seriously humbled by today’s experience.

I will be back in June 2026 to lead a team consisting of a DJ, MC, Music producer, Dancer, and videographer. The people have been through a lot here. Learning about the history has been really humbling. ❤️🙏🏿

Hip Hop is alive and VERY POTENT here. When I say Hip Hop, I do not mean commercial rap.The elements of Hip Hop are here and each and everytime I leave and see communities practicing the elements with peace, love, unity, entrepreneurship while having fun, it reminds me of how far away from the essence the Americans have gotten. No shade but we need to be more responsible as Americans because the world is still looking to us for inspiration with what we created and to collaborate with us.We gotta level up and as fans of Hip Hop we have to appreciate the essence of what it is. Commercial rap music is entertainment but it’s not all necessarily Hip Hop. Hip Hop unites the world and I’m confident it will heal the world once everyone truly understands and sees it in action and lives it. People often think Hip Hop is just rap music but it’s a LOT deeper…A few weekends ago, I saw it living and breathing on every level through the elements.

Touching the stage for the Music Producer event was an honor and a true learning experience…
This was my second year, and being in the room, feeling the exchange, the respect, the craftsmanship, and the expertise was unparalleled. The entire panel of producers was handing out neckbrace after neckbrace… @grandwhizard thx so much for allowing me to jump in and share my beats✨🙏🏿💪🏿💪🏿

And then the dance battle… my goodness… shout out to @860poptart…I was floored by how technically nasty some of the dancers were. NYC has to come ready next year because CT and Boston were BEASTING. Shout out to my Howard fam who held it down too.

Peace to El Niño, Megatron, and other @floorlordsboston crew members… yall rep the
Foundation, legacy, and fire in human form. It was dope to see the diff generations rep under one banner.

Sharing space with Ma Dukes and a room full of amazing, talented, pure hearted artists… something shifted.

In one of my most vulnerable moments, I found myself surrounded by love. CT, Toronto, France, Zimbabwe, NYC… all in one room.

I met nieces I had never met before😲🤯 ​!! Bright. Powerful. Unforgettable.

Thank you Ilanis for trusting that feeling and walking into that piano room just to see what was there. Little did we know… we were stepping into a Bigger Than Hip Hop moment.

Sydaili, I am so proud of you. The resonance I feel when I speak with you is truly next level. You are destined for great things. Meeting you and your sister was nothing short of magic.

What I did not expect was to reconnect with my own bloodline in the process. No coincidence. The ancestors were working.

The memories are potently vivid in my present as they are some of the greatest experiences of my lifetime.
