Melt Unit
Sean a.k.a Melt Unit
Producer of Jungle, Hardcore, Breakcore.

New 190bpm old-school jungle-breakcore headbanger. Up now on soundcloud. I went back to big dumb boneheaded slammer stepper edits for this one. I do wonder what it sounds like pitched down to 170. I've already finished it's companion 'Fire Magic', which is also 190, except a melty roller with waay more complex choppage, out sooon.

Three years ago, Toecutter told me he was making an Aussie Breakcore compilation on Suck Puck Records. I was stoked as.
I was excited to hear the Europeans will get a sampler of what happens out here at the end of the world. I honestly believe its the most progressive electronic music on earth. It's weird and crazy. It's funny as hell. The truest expression of genre regression and subversion. A hyper-evolutionary petrie dish of genetic dead-ends.
The sound truly doesn't give a fuck if you like it, or if it makes money. When I discovered Aussie Breakcore as a 19yr old in the early 2000s, I thought it was the new punk rock. I knew I hated the suburbs of Brisbane, but for someone to ironically celebrate trashy australiana. Wow. Talk about resonating. It seemed like the perfect outlet for my hate of this hypocritical coloniser culture desperately trying to define itself. Fuck head-in-the-sand. Fuck hiding daily family violence, and violence in institutions like the church. Be the noise they're hiding.
Sure, I've fucked it up a few times. Went deep irony without explaining it was irony. Played characters that embodied everything I hate, and people didn't get the dry sarcasm and thought I was promoting the values I was satirising. Culture changes, and people that come from peace can't understand why you would be so focused on negative things. I learnt that when you let art speak for itself, people can interpret it how they want. And sometimes being a mirror for the parts of themselves they hate, means that externalise that hate onto you. Ive chosen to learn that its easier to live a life of sincerity. Dwelling in the negative attracts the negative to your life like a feedback loop.
When Toecutter asked me for a track in like 2023, I was in the middle of a Collab with null hypothesis. Perfect timing. We finished it and chucked it over. null hypothesis went on to play the Suck Puck stage at Bang Face. Last month I finished a solo track and chucked it on last minute, vocal samples were too Aussie not to.
Thank you for listening to this. Aussie Breakcore has been my life for 20years. I hope what we've made inspires a new generation.

RUFFAGE ft SUB BASS SNARL
Sat 7 June
Since 1991 Sub Bass Snarl have been at the forefront of Australia’s underground electronic music movement throughout its many phases of the hardcore continuum. A part deejay, part live improvisation duo made up of Luke Dearnley and Seb Chan, they have been responsible for curating (with friends) some of the greatest parties (Cyrogenesis, Frigid, Freaky Loops) our bass community has experienced. In recent years their appearances have been a rare occurrence which is why we’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing their sound to RUFFAGE on June 7th at the Troc!
The night will also feature the rave/jungle/breakcore madness of MELT UNIT who will undoubtedly bring the heat.
Zoe aka Jungist who hosts the most forward looking bass music radio show we know of, Variable Depth Audit on FBi will be taking to the decks on the night also, supported by RUFFAGE locals Eli, Vaughan Healey and VICTIM.
Tenner at the door.
Thank you so much to everyone who bought a vinyl!! You're all a bunch of legends!!

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
