Through it all, we fight to the end, with God at our rear and God as our head. The first picture represents my choice to be all that God has called me to be, in a new book of my life. Where I am the bold leader, loving father and serving king. Where fear has no place. Where real love becomes my wings and giving God glory- in everything is THE GREATEST FREE GIFT AND REWARD of this life.
The second picture is me and my dad. He passed away October 4th, 2025 but they kept him on the ventilator so I could see him. I didn’t have the best upbringing but I’ve never failed to forgive him. No bitterness or complaint. I loved my dad for who he was and accepted who we couldn’t be due to the alcohol addiction. When we have grace enough to forgive our parents we gain the best parts God made them with and gain the courage to heal the worst parts their lives lived. I’m honored to be a Wilson and to break all of the generational curses I have so far. I’ve never done a drug/smoked and I don’t drink. The brokenness ended with me, and now our legacy has been extended and writing a better story. RIP MIKE WILSON AKA “BLACK MAN.” I love you even more.

Working behind the scenes for 3 years on the Michael Film under the leaders of the Dance Department @rtbrothas was its own gift, but another gift was getting to ALSO BE IN THE FILM.
Director @antoinefuqua actually wanted me to represent Boogaloo Shrimp and from there Carla and her hair team constructedme a custom wig, made of two wigs, I honestly should’ve asked for, cus it’s LIVING!
Tho the “Beat It” scene is more an acting beat than about showing the dance steps, it’s a powerful scene and historical moment that brought people together. Black people from opposing sides with differences, yet more in common beyond those differences, is a message we all need daily. Unity is us coming together not because we are the same, but because we are different and desire to share love, respect and hold space for one another regardless. Michael anchored such a moment and we all can too. It’s Christ like.
The video is Me, Jaafar and Ian marking the dance so the gangstas could have an eye-line for their close-up shots. It was cool and honorable that Jaafar desired to do it even tho he wasn’t being filmed. Most stars would’ve opted out.
