MINNI HAVAS
MFA ~ Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki

I’ve been making new textile based work(s) recently. Very nice to work with the material again after painting through the winter.

Hello from Minni Havas 👋
I sit at home on the couch, looking at the plastic covering stretched between the scaffolding, through which the shimmering light on the surface of the sea filters through. I’ve been working from home for the past week. Usually I’m painting in my studio, but right now I’m doing work that has to be done on a computer. At the studio I listen to music or an audiobook, at home I listen to the occasional sounds of the construction site. It feels strange to be enclosed in a “bag.” From the window I can see Korkeasaari. One evening, I think I heard a lion’s roar carry over the waves. Perhaps it, too, has awakened to spring. I long for green.
I’m working on a large textile piece that will be exhibited in a museum next spring. At this stage, the work mostly involves drawing and processing images in a knitting program. When I paint, there are far fewer balls in the air, and I notice I’m much calmer then. I’ve been making new oil paintings for the past year, and I’ll be showing them in the fall at Gallery Loisti. It is especially important to give people the opportunity to encounter a painting in space and time, in person.

am a visual artist based in Helsinki, Finland. I hold an MFA in Fine Arts (Painting) from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki (2024). Prior to my fine arts studies, I studied fashion design at Aalto University and worked professionally as an illustrator and print designer. My artistic practice initially focused on drawing and textile-based work, before I shifted my focus to oil painting.
In recent years, I have concentrated on oil painting, both as a medium and material research. I have done most of the oil paints that I paint with and continue to study pigments. Alongside painting, I also create ceramic sculptures, which have long been an integral part of my practice.
My background in design has shaped my ability to think spatially and manage complex visual compositions. I work fluently with various materials, and my interest in popular culture, especially fashion, often emerges in my work, anchoring the themes in the contemporary culture while connecting them with references from art history. I strive for layered expression, where the personal and the universal, different timeframes, and material dimensions intersect. While my work may deal with intimate subjects, I aim to create pieces that invite personal interpretation and resonance in others.
My paintings often explore my relationship with the world, frequently through the lens of womanhood. In recent works, I’ve explored the concept of pilgrimage. In 2025, I have focused on studio work and participated in a group exhibition. I am currently developing a new body of paintings and small sculptures, which I hope to present as a cohesive exhibition in the near future.
Selected Clients and Publications (as illustrator and designer):
MM6 Maison Margiela, Vimma Company, Vyner Articles, Minna Parikka, Finarte, Finnair, Wad Magazine, Sanoma, The Times, Sony Music, Universal Music, H&M, Vero Moda, Monki

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
