In our third program on Collaboradio the recordings of the two live performances from the new event series called “na-mute-na” are presented. Formerly Istanbul Electroacoustic Nights organised by Zeynep Ayşe Hatipoğlu and Melih Sarıgöl, is an experimental series that emphasizes the ongoing creative exchange between Istanbul and Berlin’s music communities.

The first performance in the show is by Laura Mello who explores the auditory dimensions of spoken language to deconstruct and reconstruct (de-)colonial perspectives. It was recorded in Kapelle99 on 8th of november 2025

The second performance, recorded on 13th of july 2025 in Backsteinboot is by the duo Velvele, which consists of Merve Salgar on tanbur, voice and electronics and Anıl Eraslan on cello and electronics. Their musical practices are situated at the edge between traditional and improvised music and their lives between Strasbourg, Berlin and Istanbul.

The third episode will take place in Galliläakirche on 11th of April 2026.

Angst Within Radio #2

In our second program on Collaboradio, we present a collective montage of excerpts from academics, writers and artists from different fields. We intend to claim our Angst once again!

This cut and assembled sound material is a way of voicing and transforming our anxieties and yours while you listen. Our first program was a performative attempt to record anxiety and restlessness live, inside a room. This attempt gave rise to what we called Angst Kışkışlaması - a method of chasing away angst.

Now we will experiment, bringing into dialogue different approaches that not only transform, but also take a deeper look at the structures behind anxiety and bear witness to the moments in which unease has the potential to be more than what it is.

After broadcasting in Refuge Worldwide in Berlin, as Radyo Within Kollektiv we now stand together with our Angst and sound in Colaboradio. What you are going to hear will be a recorded programme in a room, live in its essence. We share a room, we listen and see the sound, touch our instruments, make noise against Angst: We make radio against the violence of the world we live in. A violence that is created by deep uncertainty and a deep uncertainty that is created by authoritarian regimes. What is there to be worried about? As artists, starting from our own room that is filled with Angst because of the even more precarious working conditions and censorship, we would like to extend this room and invite you there while looking at the potentials of Angst and the other constructive emotions that may accompany it.
