An artist whose music consistently pushes at the edges of his own familiarity with creativity, boywintr brings us the newest chapter of his artistry, after his first appearance on the imprint on ‘SPIDER’ with Jaron.

Surrounded by creativity since he was young, boywintr resides at the intersection of music, fashion, design, and photography. His versatility as an artist seeps through everything he creates, with new and inventive channels of his expression constantly mixing into each other, expanding on the unique universe he’s creating.

Over a few conversations with boywintr about the music he’s preparing to release, and the world he’s creating around it, he said:

“The approach to music has been to find an energetic blend of electronic sound design mixed with underground rap. I have always been drawn to intense emotions and charged music, which both of those spaces are able to push into easily. My goal in marrying these two energies together is to make something that feels alive, immersive, and reflective of the world I live inside of with my art.

It’ll feel colorful and unique, and I think will help me build a community where people who resonate with the combination of those sounds can find something really special. I want to let the culture build itself around that energy.”

An artist whose work always weaves the energies swirling around him, Jaron returns to Modern Art after a year-long hiatus. Over the past decade, Jaron has meticulously cultivated a dynamic sound, shaped by a devotion to electrifying contrasts: experiences that are both forward-facing and deeply abstract, intimate and expansive.

Beyond his own work, Jaron has been involved in shaping the vision of Modern Art itself. As a founding member, he has helped define us not by genre, but as a living space for elevated projects dedicated to the unapologetic pursuit of the unconditional self.

We asked Jaron what Modern Art represents to him: “I want [Modern Art] to feel like an exception: an art hub, built on genuine passion and community. A place where different genres and energies can co-exist side by side, as long as there is a consistent through-line that the work is intentional and deeply cared for. It’s not about perfection, but about commitment to expression.”

Modern Art graciously welcomes back Jaron.

LIGHTYEARS came out one year ago today. I knew my life was changing when I was writing this record. Looking back on it, this music ultimately acted as a catalyst between my old life and my new one. I learned so much during the writing process of this album. I’m so appreciative of all of the love it’s received. I know it was a bit of a departure from previous work, so I appreciate the space you’ve given me to express myself however I feel called to.

I’ve been rebuilding all year, finding my footing in a new environment and working hard to strengthen my artistic voice. I feel much more grounded in my life, and feel confident that right now I’ve been creating meaningful, exciting work.
