The way most European countries seem to look away, as if international law means nothing, is painful to see.

At a time when those in power seem to bend only to money or remain silent out of convenience, I hope you are someone who stands by your values and who dares to speak up.

Mon is 85 jaar en woont in een rusthuis, in een klein grijs kamertje. Het heeft drie ramen en is voor de rest helemaal leeg. Dat heeft hij zo graag. Mon heeft een voldaan leven en voor hem hoeft het allemaal niet meer te lang duren.

Drie kleine fragmenten uit een heel korte film die ik deze zomer maakte op een enkele rol Super8 film. Montage gebeurde volledig in camera en de klankband werd zonder beeldreferentie gemaakt.

💨✨Yearning can follow many winding paths until it finally makes its way to the surface. It must defy external adversity in order to manifest itself. But in hindsight, the hardship pays off. 🥹🙌🏼

💨✨Unser Begehren kann viele verschlungene Pfade gehen, bis es sich letztlich seinen Weg an die Oberfläche bahnt. Auch muss es äußeren Widrigkeiten trotzen, um sich entfalten zu können. Doch rückblickend haben sich die Strapazen ausgezahlt. 🥹🙌🏼

🇵🇸 Films for Palestine: Fundraising in KASKcinema

KASKcinema staat samen met de KASK-studenten (@kaskfilm) in solidariteit met Palestina. Op dit moment zijn we getuige van een genocide in Gaza, een culminatie van geweld dat al 75 jaar aan de gang is.

Om de Palestijnen te steunen in hun strijd tegen de huidige escalatie van geweld, organiseren we een solidarity screening van Palestijnse films. Alle donaties gaan rechtstreeks naar 𝗠𝗔𝗣 (𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀) @medicalaidpal. Je kunt meer informatie vinden op hun website: https://www.map.org.uk.

🇵🇸 Films for Palestine: Fundraising in KASKcinema

KASKcinema and the students of KASK (@kaskfilm) stand in solidarity with Palestinians who are facing an escalation of violence by Israel aimed at their displacement, dispossession and destruction. What we are witnessing right now in Gaza is a genocide. A culmination of violence which has been ongoing for 75 years.

To help raise money to support Palestinians as they deal with this current escalation of violence, we are organising a solidarity screening of Palestinian films. All donations will go directly to 𝗠𝗔𝗣 (𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀) @medicalaidpal .

The film programme will be announced soon.
