It’s that time of year again folks! Moore Jackson Community Garden is looking for Watering Volunteers for this harvest season starting ASAP. We have MANY slots available & you can water either morning or night.
If you are interested please stop by any Saturday between 10AM-12PM to get a quick in-person orientation.

FREE ZUMBA this Spring at the garden! Come get down with your bad selves with Leo, our amazing Zumba instructor, every Monday and Wednesday in May and June at 6:00 PM. Yes, even on Memorial Day.

Saturday, May 9, from 9am–12pm, we'll be planting all of our edible seedlings. This day is for those who have done this with us before, or those who have experience with planting edibles. Please join us if you fit into one or both of those categories.
As always, anyone is welcome to visit the garden during open hours so come by and enjoy!
The following Saturday, May 16, 10–1, is an opportunity for all ages and all skill sets to plant flowers with us on our sidewalk garden, as well as select spots inside the garden. This is called Beautification Day.

Those of you who have come to our garden events and sauntered over to ¡Ay Güey! for amazing food and the best margaritas outside of Mexico, you've probably met Artemio.
Our cofounder Elizabeth started this GoFundMe for him and his family as they were just displaced from their Bronx home in the middle of the night yesterday after a 4-alarm fire raged through their apartment building. They were fortunate to get out in time but they are now dealing with having had left with whatever they could carry in their hands.
Artemio and his wife have an 8yo son who is traumatized by this event. We hope our community can support him because he's been such a wonderful neighbor for so many years. Please give what you can. Thank you. LINK IN STORY.
