Roseanna, MPC Nursing student, represented the Maurine Church Coburn School of Nursing at the California Nursing Students’ Association Annual Convention.

Thanks to support from the MPC Foundation and our donors, Roseanna and other students spent the weekend building leadership skills, practicing clinical techniques, and connecting with nursing students from across the state.
She shared that the experience helped her feel confident that she belongs in these spaces and has inspired her to “pay it forward” to future students.

TOURNAMENT POSTPONED
Due to storms forecast for this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the MPC Pickleball Tournament to our rain dates, April 18th and 19th.

The event schedule will remain the same: players should report to the MPC pickleball courts at 8:00 to check in, receive a briefing, and receive court assignments; play will begin shortly thereafter. Men’s and Women’s Doubles will play on Saturday, April 18th, and Mixed Doubles will play on Sunday, April 19th.

We have reopened registration for new registrations until midnight on Wednesday, April 15th. Please help us spread the word! Scan the QR code or visit pickleballtournaments.com before midnight on April 15th.

We’re excited to welcome Dyani to the MPC Foundation team! As part of her internship, she will be helping expand our outreach efforts and expand our voice in the community. Read below to get to know Dyani a little better.

“My name is Dyani Dominguez, and I’m a social media marketing intern with the MPC Foundation and a student at MPC studying Fashion & Merchandising double majoring in psychology.

I grew up in King City, California, and as a Hispanic student who took several years off after high school to focus on my health, I felt drawn to continue my education at MPC because of the support and resources it offers students. I value helping others, which is why I’m studying psychology, and I love fashion as a form of personal expression and creativity.

In my role with the Foundation, I’m excited to help share student stories, promote scholarship opportunities, and support efforts that reduce financial barriers so more students can focus on their education.”
