Performed at the @calgaryfolkclub through the @writeon.songs program! Bringing R&B/Afrofusion into a folk-rooted space was such a special experience.

Opened the show for @noahzacharin and@orangeterra two talented artists whose storytelling and songs carried the evening!

Also opening the show was @byscottlennox —an artist to watch.

Had my brother on my mind the whole time, sending him love and light.

Ms. Dooshima is a Canadian R&B and Afrofusion artist with Nigerian roots, crafting a sound shaped by soulful storytelling. With emotive vocals and a magnetic presence, her songs explore resilience, identity, and love. Her music is both timeless and modern, resonating far and wide.

In a world where you are often told what to be and how to think, without the right foundations and support system, it can be easy to end up molded into a person you do not recognize. The song and video offer vulnerability, self-awareness, and faith as necessary ingredients to discover one's self and live authentically.
