Come and see Performance Academy’s students second year showcase.

🗓️Wednesday 9th July
⏰7PM - 8PM
📍Creative Centre at York St John University

A multi art form, collaborative piece exploring fragments of our own stories, nostalgic memories, and the tougher moments we all experience. Do we face them or keep them shut away?

Fully immersed in the creative conversation, Performance Academy have devised movement, music, sound and song to bring their lived experience, hopes and wishes to life; combining their stage craft and creativity as they reach the end of their second year.

Performance Academy is a three-year performing arts course that enables students to develop skills in theatre, dance, and music. Students work towards achieving a level 4 qualification accredited by York St John University.

We’re excited to welcome the interactive performance Dancing with Colours to OneFest on Saturday, 11th July - swipe to read some audience quotes and discover more!

Dancing with Colours is an interactive experience for young people (ages 4+) and their grown-ups, celebrating creativity through dance, music, and art.

Expect a joyful, sensory (and delightfully messy!) adventure as artist JoAnne invites you to transform a blank canvas through stories, movement, and hands-on art.

It’s a vibrant reminder that art is everywhere - and for everyone!

Last week we hosted 12 fantastic shows of Dancing with Colours with JoAnne Haines, at Mind the Gap Studios. 🎉

630 children and teachers from six primary schools in the Priestley Academy Trust came to see it and join in!

We had some joyful comments from our attendees, and here are some of our favourites that really sum up the 12 shows:

“I want to be an artist when I am older. I’m good at it.”

“It’s funny and messy.”

“This is the best day.”

JoAnne is continuing her tour of Dancing with Colours, and if you’d like to join in on the fun, you’ll be able to catch the show in these places:

Saturday 2nd May @arcstockton

Thursday 9th July @ripon_theatre_fest

Saturday 11th July @OneFestNotts

Sunday 20th September @polkatheatreLondon

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded funding as part of the Creative Foundations Fund delivered by Arts Council England on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. 🎭

We received £100,000 for upgrades and repairs to our building, including improved theatre lighting and the integration of new accessible sensory facilities. The investment will ensure that we can continue to support learning-disabled and autistic people to create exciting, inclusive and original theatre as well as expand our growing programme of work to our local community.

Culture Secretary, Lisa Nandy said:

“I want everyone, everywhere to feel a sense of pride about where they come from.
Cultural organisations across Yorkshire and the Humber are important custodians of
local identity and play a key role in the story we tell ourselves as a nation.

“Our Arts Everywhere Fund is delivering on our commitment to support cultural
assets across the country, increasing access and preserving them for future
generations. This is demonstrated by grants announced today that will benefit sixteen
culture venues, museums, and library services across Yorkshire and the Humber.

“Arts and culture are the beating hearts of our communities, they have the power to
unite us in the face of division and break down barriers to opportunity. We want to
harness the power to help us build a brighter future for the people of Yorkshire and
the Humber.”

Rebecca Ball, Area Director, North, Arts Council England said:

“Our museums, libraries and arts organisations have the power to change lives, they give us
access to new worlds, teach us about our heritage and give us new perspectives on life.

“I’m so pleased that we’ll be supporting so many of our cultural organisations in the North with this capital investment, which will ensure that they can continue to deliver incredible arts and culture to their communities.”

It is of huge value to be awarded this funding and it’s with great thanks to @aceagrams and @dcmsgovuk 👏

We’ll be sharing more details about the building upgrades in the coming weeks.

This World Down Syndrome Day, we are here to remind you that, if we are not here, its not by accident.

We want to live in a world where learning disabled and/or autistic people are seen, heard and represented everywhere.

Let’s keep access and representation at the forefront of the work we do and remind those close to us that inclusion is impactful

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
