I’m proud to share this awesome video for @jonmuq that @roboshobo called me for. I’m super proud of what we made. Robert and I have a bit of a shared history when it comes to music videos, thanks to @devinsarno bringing us together 14 years ago when we were a lot younger. I had a ton of fun reconnecting with Robert, and that made the process so rewarding. And for such a great artist, and such a great group of people. I want to thank @mitchkasaberi, @moves.by.maddy._, @watchyoureyesllc, @happycookielaugh, @grant.sicorafriesen for having my back. Incredible props to @shaunaydavis for beautiful dance, for what, like 50 passes?!

This project was a slightly heartbreaking one. I found a band whose music I loved and hit them up to make a video on no budget. I was immensely proud of what we managed to create with very little resources; I got to channel in a very pure form my innermost creativity without regard for all of the usual stuff we have to worry about in a commercial enterprise. In the end they didn’t like the video, and it never got an official release. It was a tough lesson in how you can make something you love, but it won’t be for everybody. I still however love it, and reminds me that I need to listen to my inner voice a little more often, if only to keep myself sane. As Khaled said, “Another one!” This time for Ring/Amazon. I finally got to shoot dark for Ring! Big thanks to @reillykpark @tony.jou @keithdajones and the rest of my camera & g&e team. One of my biggest lessons as I grow is that I can’t do my best work without a team. Hard lesson for a introvert.
