Σε μια μικρή εκκλησία στη νότια Αιθιοπία, ένας σεβάσμιος πάστορας βρίσκεται παγιδευμένος σε ένα βαθύ ηθικό δίλημμα όταν μια νεαρή κοπέλα ζητά τη βοήθειά του. On April 21, in #AddisAbaba, #Ethiopia, we came together for Voices Of Sudan 🇸🇩.

A powerful evening of art, film, music, and community, marking the third anniversary of the #Sudan war.

Organized by In Deep Visions, In Deep Cultures (Sudan), 1960 Films, and Addis Cinema Club (Ethiopia). The night brought people together in reflection and solidarity.

The evening opened with a moving live performance by The Tana Quintet, led by @hazim_alshafei Hazim Elshafei and @hermela_birhanuu Hermela Birhanuu filling the space with rhythm, soul, and the enduring spirit of Sudan. This was followed by a screening of the acclaimed film #Khartoum, alongside an art exhibition by @shangal_hassan_ Dr. Shangal Hassan.

A powerful atmosphere. A night that will stay with us.

في ٢١ أبريل، في #أديس_أبابا – إثيوبيا، تجمعّنا في فعالية “أصوات السودان” 🇸🇩، لإحياء الذكرى الثالثة لحرب السودان، في ليلة مميزة جمعت بين التشكيل والسينما والموسيقى وروح التضامن.

نُظمت الفعالية من قبل In Deep Visions وIn Deep Cultures (السودان) و1960 Films وAddis Cinema Club (اثيوبيا)، حيث شكّلت مساحة للالتقاء والتأمل.

افتُتحت الأمسية بعرض حيّ مؤثر لفرقة تانا كوينتيت بقيادة حازم الشافعي وهيرميلا بيرهانو، حيث ملأت المكان بإيقاعاتها وروح السودان. تلا ذلك عرض الفيلم المميز الخرطوم”، إلى جانب معرض فني للدكتور شنغل حسن.

أجواء مؤثرة ليلة تبقى محفورة في الذاكرة.

As part of a new cultural and artistic initiative launched by In Deep Visions under the name In Deep Cultures, and marking the third anniversary of the war in Sudan, we are organizing a cultural and artistic event in Ethiopia, April 21, in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Film Club.

What an inspiring Meeting !!
Today's matinee discussion brought together participants from five countries—Ethiopia, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the USA—filling the room at "The Space Ethiopia Gallery" with vibrant energy.
We were especially honored to have the Ambassador of the Netherlands participate.
Inspired by Stefan Seffrin’s exhibition "The Psychonaut" and the project surrounding it, the exchange generated new synergies and ideas for future, boundless art projects.
Special thanks go to Giorgio Roscigno @giorgioroscigno and Christoph Pelzer @chrstph.pelzer , whose in-depth statements, presented as the opening of the discussion, made a valuable contribution despite their absence.
Congratulations to the young Ethiopian filmmaker Nahusenay Dereje @nawsied , who is producing a documentary about the “Psychonaut” project for German television and Ethiopian media. The teaser he presented is more than promising.

What an inspiring Meeting !!
Today's matinee discussion brought together participants from five countries—Ethiopia, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and the USA—filling the room at "The Space Ethiopia Gallery" with vibrant energy.
We were especially honored to have the Ambassador of the Netherlands participate.
Inspired by Stefan Seffrin’s exhibition "The Psychonaut" and the project surrounding it, the exchange generated new synergies and ideas for future, boundless art projects.
Special thanks go to Giorgio Roscigno @giorgioroscigno and Christoph Pelzer @chrstph.pelzer , whose in-depth statements, presented as the opening of the discussion, made a valuable contribution despite their absence.
