This is a story of my dream to see the whales in the wild.
From Tasmania to Iceland…I kept arriving just a little too late. Meanwhile, others were spotting whales from their windows.
But somewhere along the way, I started choosing a different kind of travel: slower, more intentional, closer to nature, and more connected to people.
Since 2021 I’m using @homeexchangecom
in December 2025, in Tenerife… it finally happened. I saw the whales.

As a HomeExchange ambassador now, I’d love to share more about how it works.

I finally took my camera with me not for work but to save the moment. We went through a lot last year, were expecting to share tears, but instead were just laughing nonstop, having late-night acupuncture sessions, Turkish delights, and five-minute walks between snacks.
