✨Paper marbling is a centuries-old aqueous surface design technique where paint or ink is floated on a thickened liquid base (known as size), manipulated into unique patterns, and then transferred onto an absorbent material like paper or fabric. Every piece creates a one-of-a-kind monotype.

💞if you came to the book binding workshop, you can bring that back! We also will have supplies for first timers

🌟Try to arrive by 6:30pm so Kaylene has enough time to teach and guide through the full workshop.

The #heartnotharm campaign is mother’s stories of drug war casualties demonstrating society’s failed response to substance use.

Hysteria around synthetic drugs have unfortunately enabled a return to drug war tactics, including increased sentencing enhancements and drug induced homicide laws.

Mothers are steadfast in opposing punitive prohibitionist approaches, and calling for a compassionate, reasoned, and tolerant response.

✅Build a safer world for our loved
ones regardless of their choices.

✅Parents today deserve honest drug
education for our youth.

✅Families must have access to a full
range of harm reduction services.

✅Demand a massive investment in a
care infrastructure that supports people.

It just so happens that for #fentanylawarenessday part of the team headed to San Francisco this week to attend the COPHRI Conference. There we discussed the consequences of stigma and how important it is for harm reductionists to be fighting stigma in all areas of our work.

What’s helped you reframe stigma from substance use for yourself?

We lean on the evidence based knowledge that substance use disorder is a disease and must be treated as a public health issue, with dignity and respect as any other medical condition.

Queers in Recovery is a group that highlights a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals who are either in recovery or exploring sober or sober-curious lifestyles. It emphasizes community, connection, and support for people of all recovery journeys.

There will be space to craft your own recovery tokens as a symbol for creating your recovery whatever that looks like everyone is different that’s what makes it your own journey to share with community.

Also feel free to bring own craft you’ve been working on and hang! We will also have water painting available and space to doodle.

This is a space for folks to hone their words and practice the art of storytelling. There will be guided prompts and space to share, as words are powerful and can help others explore new concepts. Folks can connect at any skill level with writing!

Bring your own notebook, tablet, computer, or device. There will be paper and pens for those that just want to show up.

-We will start with a grounding ice breaker

-Then go into guided writing prompts

-There will be time at the end for open talking circles to share ideas and connect

Writing is powerful and can hold a lot of power in creating and releasing. Come try it out or share with others who are learning!
