INTRODUCING IDP ~ NICK DALEY (HE/HIM)

Nick Daley (he/him) is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from NYC. His career has followed an arc from forms to function, starting in dry postmodern work and landing in raw dance theatre.

He has played a cold, vicious politician in Baye & Asa’s 4 | 2 | 3; a psychedelic nightmare-ist in Theo Qu Yang’s Dissonance; and a frank & confessional self in Mend, co-choreographed with Khala Brannigan. He is passionate about physical theatre that dares to be legible and wants audiences to feel the truth in a work and be challenged to find their own.

His works have been presented at Arts on Site and Queensboro Dance Festival in New York, and – as a longstanding member of Ehrstrand Dance Collective’s collaboration with 種子舞團Seed Dance – at Dansforum Sweden and the 907 Space Theatre in Yanpu, Taiwan.

Nick is pursuing the IDP program to stretch the limits of his expression and physicality and to put them to work in proscenium dreamscapes and raw immersive experiences.
