Excerpt from an interview I did with @mt.fog talking about my process in creating the artwork for the album- you can read the whole thing in their Nov 25 Newsletter-sign up link in their bio(i think)!
************************************************+Anything you want people to know about the art you made for Every Stone is Green? In terms of its process/story/ colors/ shapes/ whatever!

Every Stone is Green, the painting, came out of a deep mutual resonance between myself and the members of Mt Fog. I also took inspiration from a Pinterest mood board Carolyn created, mp3’s with demos of the secret new songs that I’d listen to on my runs,
seeing Mt Fog perform live and of course from Carolyn introducing me to the world of Hildegard Von Bingem.
Through many texts & conversations about art, creative process and the new work she and the band were recording, I spent a lot of time early on just thinking and considering where the creative intersections between us all were. By the time I felt the urge to start
experimenting with imagery, I think I had embodied the poetry of Mt Fog’s catalogue. I would say there was a component of reverse ekphrasis* beginning to occur with the
poetry of her favorite song lyrics from the new album that I asked her to handwrite out and send a jpeg of to me that got stirred around in my psyche to become a visual translation of her world into mine.

In 2024 I had the opportunity to share the pieces shown here--a hand-full of paintings that were from my first solo show that occurred in 2023 in Lexington Kentucky to my west coast friends. I was included in 4 group/juried shows, and have another one coming up in January in Vancouver BC.

but...after January it's time to put to rest my exhibit that was titled \Fault/LINES as I am excited to finally feel focused and clear on my next show that I am full of energy and excitement for--the goal is to have work ready in the later part of 2025.
In the meantime, please come visit me in Bellingham first Fridays at my studio in the basement of #make_shiftartspace and if you know anyone who would love to own a piece from this collection( or any other work) please connect me and send them my way! I love my paintings, but I need to clear my studio so I can make more !

I'm feeling big feelings and so much love for Carolyn B, @selectlevel & @c.rosebridge of @mt.fog as I hold my first vinyl cover complete with the painting I did for their new album Every Stone is Green. ( the one I have is the special wax mage test print gifted to me by mt fog and apparently the colors used were inspired by the colors in my painting)!( Link in bio to get yer own!)
Being an album cover artist has always been a secret dream of mine and this was an amazing experience-I couldn't be more thrilled with the final outcome in physical appearance and also in its musical content. I also was so fortunate to be a part of this line up of genuinely beautiful and kind people who are Mt Fog- these folks are all artist supporting each other and also supporting other artists-- (thanks for the shoutout in @thestrangerseattle - seriously ! OMG 🤩)

Just FYI -being arounds @mt.fog is like getting your heart tuned up! Listening to their music is even more uplifting-- SO....

Hope to see you out at @tractortavern on March 12th or here in Bellingham at @oddfellowstempleroom on March 26 which also happens to be my Birthday!!

Last night at the shakedown A mystery was solved!
I have a side project in my studio that I work on as way to explore color & textures and also a place to use up any leftover paint on my pallette after a painting session-
These paintings are quick & expressive paintings from picts I take at shows of guitar fx pedal set-ups. I usually remember or note the band, but the first two were from a show with many bands that played in one nite last year at the crocodile and I didnt know whos pedals they were.
well....last night after the @tanglemap set, @kinskiseattle played (who also played at the crocodile show last year) and sure enough....I solved the mystery of the first photo. Yay!
1. @kinskiseattle crocodile
2. Still a mystery
3. @blackbelteaglescout - wwu kugs 50th show
4. still a mystery

Some of the ones above are not done yet and I have ones sketched out ready for paint...& I have a whole album of pedal moments photos ready to occupy a canvas-and when I have enough done (all will be 12"x12") I will put them all up somewhere!

My first song written on this beautiful Favilla baritone ukulele i got @champlinguitars for my March Bday- finally feeling it's power! So...posting this For the algorithm but It's also for u, cuz- thar be some big feelings out there and we could all use a littlereminder to be Radical with our Self-Love right now - while at the same time lean intentionally into Radical Compassion & Awareness for the suffering of others.

I've had #Thalassophobia since I was an adolescent. I have a lot of of theories as to why and that is one of the themes i am exploring in the work that will make up my next show of paintings I'm calling \Sunk/COSTS - it's a follow up to my 2023 series \Fault/LINES which dealt with disruptions in life that interrupt personal growth.
This year has been a year of disruptions with a capitol C for the breast cancer I was dealing with and the Brain Cancer that my spouse was diagnosed with in September that remains an ongoing battle - in the uncertainty of this time, i'm thankful for the ability to use my tools to inquire more deeply into the depths of the unknowable- through texture and color and time, I find my mind is able to process and find resolution and peace in the questions that have no answers .

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
