My graduation film stands as part of K4SKPALESTINE and in solidarity with the student protests and encampments worldwide that demand a complete academic and cultural boycott of the illegitimate zionist state of 1$r@el, as a result of its ongoing genocidal war in Gaza and its decades long violent colonial project in P@lest1ne.
For the full statement and updates follow @k4skpalestine

Next Tuesday, @kortfilmfestival Leuven and @kortfilm.be present the co-curated short film programme “Reclaiming Archives”, which compiles postmodern militant works by artists rooted in Iran, Syria, Iraq, and Palestine.
In this programme, political-historical images, Google Maps, and Palestinian flowers all serve as devices of resistance. How a handshake between world leaders destroys countless lives, while a manipulated video of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei drafts an alternative reality: these filmmakers rewrite their history in a claim for a different future.
The programme will be introduced by ACAB KINO’s Noah Isa Berhitu (@nofable) and followed by a conversation with filmmaker Saleh Kashefi, and features works by Mahdi Fleifel, Saif Alsaegh, Theo Panagopoulos, Issa Touma, Thomas Vroege, Floor van der Meulen, Razan AlSalah, and Kashefi.
✚ All ticket revenues will go to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (@palestineredcrescent), an independent Palestinian organisation that provides humanitarian aid, healthcare, and social services to Palestinians in Palestine and the Palestinian diaspora.
TUE 02.12 — 20:15 — STUK, Leuven

Statues Rule the Waves kembali ke (is coming back to) Indonesia❤️🔥
Terima kasih banyak @ffdjogja
Part of the shorts programme Site-Making, along four other beautiful films. “Site remains an essential–if not enduring–aspect of cinema. Site shapes cinema’s form, and cinema redefines our perception of site. Here, site does not appear as a representation–as something shown as it is–but instead undergoes a process of making and performing through filmic practices. This programme, which consists of five films, asks the audience to problematise the meaning of site by looking at how site is made.” Read more via the link in my bio📌🔗

Thursday 13 November, Fireplace Cinema and ACAB Kino invite the filmmaker 𝗔𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮. His film 𝘾𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 takes us on a journey in the heart of the Thursday Film Series at Ibadan University, Nigeria. What starts off as a weekly film club, becomes a beating heart for a student uprising. The screening will be followed by a community conversation on the critical potential of non-institutional, self organised film initiatives.

Documentary, France/Nigeria, 89’
Every Thursday, a group of students from the University of Ibadan, the oldest in Nigeria, organizes a film club, transforming a small amphitheater into a political agora where they refine their vision and develop a critical voice. Coconut Head Generation, a scornful expression to designate a stubborn and brainless youth, takes on a whole new meaning when the students turn this stigma around to claim their freedom of thought.
𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: After the screening, film researcher Gawan Fagard and the ACAB Kino collective will host a community conversation with Alain Kassanda and the audience, exploring the potential of self-organised, non institutional microcinemas in peripheral and precarious conditions. To what extend does the screening room transform into a temporary safe space, a rehearsal room for new ideas, a revolutionary foyer, or a space for social emancipation? How to negotiate notions of inclusivity versus exclusivity, political necessity versus film aesthetics, film exhibition politics, the economy of electrical currents fueling the screenings?
This event takes place in the framework of Fireplace Cinema, a research project on cinema, community and reconfigurations of the economy of empathy through film by Gawan Fagard. This event is a collaboration between Fireplace Cinema, ACAB Kino, Cinemaximiliaan and Université Libre de Bruxelles.

With hearts warm, sore, but fuelled, we arrive at the final ACAB KINO screening of this summer. We are grateful to 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 for bringing us this program: TOWARDS THE SOUTH / VERS LE SUD / نحو الجنوب on Wednesday, August 20.
In the aftermath of Israeli attacks on Lebanon (in the summer of 2006 and the autumn of 2024), two filmmakers take the road towards the south.

Summer 2006: the Israeli war against Lebanon. A boat makes its way to besieged Beirut to evacuate foreign nationals. Under the rubble, buildings lie destroyed. Making their way south, the survivors drag out the corpses of the dead.

“Disaster ruins everything while leaving everything as it is,” wrote Maurice Blanchot. Everything. From the southern districts of Beirut into south Lebanon, a car winds its way through the devastated country. No title could capture such desolation.
Before the screening, there will be a video introduction by The Camelia Committee @cameliacommittee (Mira Adoumier @miraadoumier, Carine Doumit and Nour Ouayda @nouayda). Afterwards, there will be time and space for discussion, decompression and exchange. We’re here to learn from each other and gather tools to overthrow the rotten, imperial core. From within the belly of the beast, there is no greater struggle than the one against ignorance!
Come watch, listen and learn with us.

“Evil” came from the Old English word “yfel”, which means “wicked”, “vicious”, or “bad”. Krump comes from Clowning, which is about passing. Or precisely, unveiling the glitched im.possibility of “passing” for black bodies. Krumping is a dance that's a philosophy. Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise, THEY SAID.
Although no krumping occurs in this video. No evil is present either. Nothing for your white fantasy. But future ancestors sounding in our heads: f.healing.

Planets travel through the cosmos of a water drop. Swirling lines of text and simple symbols draw star maps of small galaxies. The singers repeat the phrase “this one is one” over and over, in an invitation to feel the interconnection of all beings.

ACAB KINO is a self-organised cinema space for community, solidarity, counterculture and resistance. It is a space for and by people organising against the systemic oppression worldwide by Western imperialism, resulting in numerous ongoing genocides, state police violence and common fascism, serving only the capitalist powers.

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
