„Po śmierci powrócę w postaci krzesła” jest hommage’em dla twórcy, który przez lata pozostawał osobny, bezkompromisowo konsekwentny, i który wprowadził do polskiego designu zmianę perspektywy: z projektowania kontroli na projektowanie współistnienia. Bohaterami wystawy są meble — zarówno historyczne, jak i powstałe w ciągu ostatniego roku — lecz jej ambicją jest pokazanie, jak w praktyce Grunerta przestają być przedmiotami, a stają się stanem przejściowym: momentem, w którym materia na chwilę układa się w formę, zanim znów zacznie działać według własnych zasad.

“After I’m Gone, I’ll Return in the Form of a Chair” is a homage to an artist who for years remained distinct and uncompromisingly consistent, and who introduced a shift in perspective to Polish design: from designing control to designing coexistence. The protagonists of the exhibition are furniture pieces — both historical works and those created over the past year — yet its ambition is to show how, in Grunert’s practice, they cease to be objects and instead become transitional states: moments in which matter briefly arranges itself into form before once again beginning to operate according to its own principles.

Życząc Wam udanej majówki, zapraszamy do spotkania w pracowni Wiktorii i Filipa Bielickich. 🌿

Wiktoria i Filip Bieliccy kolekcjonują fragmenty krajobrazów, materialne znaki konkretnych miejsc, a zarchiwizowane za pomocą skanów 3D artefakty, przekładają na język designu przy pomocy technologii Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF). Na podstawie cyfrowej kompozycji rzeźbią cienkie arkusze metalu z użyciem ramienia robotycznego. „Technika ta pozwala nam traktować metal w sposób czuły i precyzyjny, przywołując rytmy wzrostu, erozji i rozpadu” – mówią.

Aluminiowe meble, których reliefowe fronty przypominają przykryte kurzem znaleziska z Pompejów, a wnętrza – strukturę mapy geologicznej, wzbogacają naturalistycznym galwanizowanym detalem: „broszami” z owadów czy uchwytami z gałęzi.

Kabinety z kolekcji Fragile Inner (pol. kruche wnętrze) mają funkcję użytkową, ale są przede wszystkim kapsułą czasu, osobistym archiwum pamięci, „czarną skrzynką” duetu.

Wishing you a wonderful May holiday, we invite you to visit Wiktoria and Filip Bielicki’s studio. 🌿

@wiktoria.and.filip collect fragments of landscapes, material traces of specific places, and transform artefacts archived through 3D scanning into the language of design using Incremental Sheet Forming (ISF) technology. Based on digital compositions, they sculpt thin sheets of metal with the use of a robotic arm. “This technique allows us to treat metal in a sensitive and precise way, evoking rhythms of growth, erosion, and decay,” they explain.

The aluminum furniture - whose relief fronts resemble dust-covered finds from Pompeii and whose interiors recall the structure of geological maps - is enriched with naturalistic electroplated details: insect “brooches” or branch-shaped handles.

Cabinets from the Fragile Inner collection serve a functional purpose, yet above all they act as time capsules, personal archives of memory, the duo’s “black boxes.”

The exhibition offers a new perspective on everyday objects - presenting them beyond their original context and function. Rather than utility, the focus shifts to meaning and the relationship they establish with the viewer.

Positioned between design and collectible art, the presented works emphasize the object as an experience. Among them - glass by Aleksandra Zawistowska.

Bohaterami scenografii okładkowej sesji kwietniowego numeru „Vogue Polska” są dwa historyczne obiekty projektu Pawła Grunerta, artysty, który od lat 90. tworzył prace na styku sztuki i designu. Siedziska były jednym z ulubionych tematów jego twórczości - zrealizował ich niemal osiemdziesiąt. Fotele SIE 15 i SIE 70, które możecie obejrzeć w kwietniowej sesji, są doskonałym przykładem tego, ja pracował z wikliną.
