His timeless songs and incredible songwriting have meant so much to me over the years, so it’s pretty unreal to officially announce these dates with him this summer. I’m also excited to be joining him at his sold out show on May 29th in Beaver Dam, Kentucky!

On this day last year, I stood in front of over 14,000 people and sobbed tears of gratitude on what was officially declared “John Foster Day” in the State of Louisiana.

An interstate was stopped for my motorcade, I was given the keys to all of my local cities, I received presidential treatment at our State Capitol for the presentation of my proclamations from both the State House and State Senate, visited local schools, met hundreds of people, and finished the night playing for over 14,000 lovely supporters.

I will forever be grateful for everyone who put that day together, everyone who showed up, and everyone who voted, shared, liked, and supported me in any way to help put me there that day. This entire journey has been beyond any of my dreams, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store this year and hopefully many more years to come.

Please stay tuned because there are some really exciting things in the works that I’ll be sharing very soon!

This month marks 44 years since my favorite artist of all time, Willie Nelson, took “Always on My Mind” to No. 1. Singing this song on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry was such a proud moment for me. Hope y’all enjoy this clip!

The last time I spoke with Mr. Don, he called me nearly in tears to tell me how much he loved my rendition of this song that he wrote with Paul Overstreet, “I’ll Tennessee You in My Dreams.” I was very heartbroken to hear of his passing yesterday, but there is also a sense of joy in knowing he will live on through the many timeless hits he helped give us: “The Gambler,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” “Deeper Than the Holler,” “When You Say Nothing at All,” and so many more.

Rest in peace, Mr. Don. The entire country music community loves and appreciates you!
