What does Anh Ơi mean?
It’s my bake shop’s name, yes. But also a phrase I grew up hearing.
A way of calling out to someone-a brother, a partner, a stranger-with care.
It’s Vietnamese. It’s tender.
And it holds more than it says.
I chose it not because it fits me perfectly,
but because it carries the ache I wanted to keep.
For the third culture kids.
For the Asian Americans still finding their way back.
For anyone who’s ever called out to something that feels like home-
and hoped it might call back.

How a tiny shout—“Anh ơi!”—became a small-batch Vietnamese-American cookie shop.
Growing up, that two-syllable “hey you” echoed through hallways, markets, and phone calls home. It carried buttered warmth, a nudge to come closer, a reminder of who I was becoming. Today it rises again in every batch of pandan-brown-butter, Viet-coffee, and cloud-sesame cookies we pull from the ovens in Seattle.
This carousel is our love letter to anyone who speaks (or tastes) in more than one language—who keeps one foot in memory and one in motion.
If that voice tugs at you, follow along for first bake-drop alerts, pop-up whereabouts, and bite-sized musings from both sides of the hyphen. Tag a friend who’d vibe with an “hey-you” cookie. I’m happy you’re here.

A week ago, this was still a soft opening. Something temporary. Something we thought we could survive on adrenaline alone.
Now it’s Wednesday morning. The first real week. The beginning of the rhythm.
Behind the shelves is a tiny army of exhausted bakers trying very hard to build something worthy of people returning to.
A place full of homesickness, hope, and sealed cookie bags.
We’ll be here all week.
Trying again every morning.

Finally got to try @craftmealcollection’s Ferrero Rocher cookie, one million/10 no notes, this has been another episode of Forkplay with Vince™️
My favorite part of opening the shop has been watching strangers talk to each other.
Someone tries a bake and suddenly they’re telling stories about their grandma. Someone else joins in. A whole conversation starts because a flavor unlocked a memory.
That’s the cheat code.
Food that makes people remember themselves out loud.

Such an eventful soft opening, filled with so much love and support. 🤍
@ohanhoi Bake Shop owner Vince has really encouraged us bakers-in-residence to showcase more of what we can bring to the community, and I thought… what better way to celebrate the grand opening than with ice cream?!!!!!
It’s been such a fun adventure experimenting with different flavors, and even more exciting finding ways to make them halal. One of my favorites so far has been rocky road because it includes halal marshmallows, something you usually can’t just pick up at a regular grocery store. That alone makes it a treat that never goes unappreciated in my home.
I’ll be offering FREE samples of matcha ice cream, along with a small (very limited) assortment of seasonal flavors for sale during the grand opening. 🍨
My ice cream flavors honestly come from whatever I’m feeling inspired by at the moment. The possibilities feel endless, and that’s been one of the most exciting parts of this whole process for me. I’m really excited to share that experience with everyone through a live demonstration of my seasonal, small-batch way of making ice cream. Nothing formal, I’m really just a girl who loves ice cream and wants to share that joy with others. ☀️✨
LET’S PARTY!!! 🎉🥳🎊
✌️ & 🤍

On Saturday, May 23, Anh Ơi Bake Shop officially celebrates its grand opening in the heart of Nihonmachi (Japantown). Not just for me, but for everyone who helped carry this strange little idea into existence - a bake shop built around memory, collaboration, and the belief that there’s room for all of us at the table.
The shop will still be open normal hours that day (9 AM – 4 PM), but the grand opening celebration itself will happen from 11 AM – 2 PM.
We’ll begin with a ribbon cutting from @cidseattle and lion dancers from @junhongs_kungfu_club.
@bamepopup will be serving GREAT Vietnamese food (free!!).
And for the first time, you’ll be able to meet the inaugural Anh Ơi bakers in person:
@akiosbakery
@chibakery.seattle
@sweetdreambakes
@ellee.vate
@sweet_hanako_bakeshop
Not just the people behind the shelves, but the people behind the stories. They’ll also be bringing special bakes and exclusive items you normally won’t find at the shop. A small market inside the bakery. A gathering inside the gathering.
Earlier that week, we’re also hosting the Good Business Network of Washington for their member + prospective member happy hour - a night centered around building more vibrant local economies together.
And later on Saturday, we’ll head straight from the grand opening to the @uwnightmarket hosted by the @tsauw - celebrating Taiwanese culture, community, and all the ways diasporic stories overlap and speak to each other.
Maybe that’s what this week really is.
Not a launch.
A gathering.

A strange thing happened this weekend.
People came for cookies, but stayed to discover each other.
They pointed at shelves.
Compared favorites.
Built little boxes filled with products from five different bakers at once.
For a moment, the shop stopped feeling like a business.
It felt more like a shared table.
I can’t stop thinking about that.
Maybe we’ve spent too long believing every small business has to survive alone.
Maybe people are hungry for spaces where many hands can exist together instead.
I don’t know.
But for three days in Japantown, it felt like something quietly beautiful was happening.

If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
