Happy #EarthDay🌱to all earthlings who celebrate.. as some of you know, I was lucky enough to work with @mijdog last year on our ‘Imperfect Cadence’ record, and release tracks with @nature_theartist .. I was invited to Climate Week New York and saw first-hand some of the unbelievable people (honestly, just the best, smartest people I’ve ever met) that are pushing not just to protect and preserve our environments and habitats, but to change industries, governments and societal cultures and attitudes to better coexist with our natural world.. it’s very humbling.. and @soundsright.earth are using music to do it, which is obviously awesome.. check out the new tracks they released today.. here’s some little BTS we shot talking about the recordings.. more tomorrow.. #HappyEarthDay 🌍

Our journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the sunny shores of Florida to the mystical swamps of the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana—where the still waters and ancient cypress trees seem to hold secrets of another world—and now to Scotland, Martyn’s spiritual home, this road trip has been a testament to the beauty and diversity of the places that shaped his life.

This leg of the journey has been utterly magical. Starting near the tranquil waters of Loch Lomond, we ventured into the wild expanse of Rannoch Moor, where the silence is broken only by the haunting call of distant birds. Glencoe greeted us with its towering peaks and cascading waterfalls, a landscape so dramatic it feels like stepping into another world.

Scotland’s natural beauty feels alive—every mountain, loch, and glen seems to whisper a story. For Martyn, this land wasn’t just a place; it was a source of inspiration and peace. Capturing the raw, untamed essence of these landscapes feels like capturing a part of him.

We were also honored to reconnect with ONR, Robert Shields, who joined us in Glencoe. Having worked with Robert on his recent album Imperfect Cadence—a deeply moving collection inspired by Scotland itself—this meeting felt profoundly significant. His music, which resonates so deeply with the spirit of this land, adds a powerful dimension to the film, weaving together themes of connection, memory, and place.
