🌏 Earth Day reminds us that cities are ecosystems, too.

Coming soon, explore this idea at Flyway City: Architecture for a Flourishing Ecosystem, an inspiring new exhibition designed and co-curated by Studio Gang in collaboration with the CAC. Learn how you can take action to create healthier urban habitats and save birds from colliding with building glass, a problem that currently kills more than 1 billion birds each year in the US. The companion exhibition, Chicago’s Living Habitat, co‑curated with Openlands, connects the design of our cities with the environments that make them possible.

📍Opens June 11 at the Chicago Architecture Center.

Details at the link in bio.

‼️Action Alert: Illinois Wetlands Need Our Help‼️
Today, the @chicagotribune Editorial Board urged state leaders to step up protections after the U.S. Supreme Court’s Sackett v. EPA ruling left wetlands more vulnerable than ever.
Here’s what’s at stake:
• 563,000 acres of Illinois wetlands currently have no state, county, or federal protection.
• Wetlands are critical wildlife habitat and natural infrastructure that reduce flooding, filter pollution, and protect water quality.
• Illinois has already lost most of its wetlands. We cannot afford to lose what remains.
Take action today via the link in our bio.

Did you know you can explore parts of the Underground Railroad by canoe on the South Side of Chicago?

The African American Heritage Water Trail traces 180+ years of Black history along the Little Calumet River, once traveled by freedom seekers escaping slavery.

I joined a free guided paddle starting at Beaubien Woods in Altgeld Gardens neighborhood where everything was included—gear, instruction, and powerful storytelling.

This was more than just a peaceful summer activity. It brought together people of all backgrounds and ages to reflect, connect, and experience a side of Chicago most don’t know exists.

If you’re looking for a meaningful, hidden gem experience in the city, this is one worth seeking out.

PRESS RELEASE: Momentum builds to complete the 500-mile Grand Illinois Trail.

The Grand Illinois Trail (GIT) has been three decades in the making. Now, 90% of the route is complete, linking iconic Illinois destinations: from the Chicago lakefront and Fox River Valley, through prairie farmlands, to the Mississippi River bluffs.

Over the past several months, more than 50 local organizations, leaders, and other supporters have come together with the renewed purpose of completing the 500-mile route of the GIT.

Thanks to the efforts of this Grand Illinois Trail Alliance, local partners are actively pursuing five trail projects to close half of these remaining gaps, including: The Burnham Greenway, a Lansing Trail, The Canal Connecter Trail, a Carbon Cliff trail, and a stretch of the Great River Trail.

You can read Openlands' full press release and learn more about how you can experience The Grand Illinois Trail through the link in our bio.

Action Alert! Every day, over 48 acres of productive and resilient Illinois farmland and natural areas are paved over for development. Once these lands are gone, we cannot get them back.

The Farmer Tax Benefit Act is gaining momentum at the Illinois Capitol, and we need your help to get it across the finish line. This proposal give farmers and landowners a meaningful financial incentive to permanently protect their land for generations to come.

It takes less than a minute to send an email to your State Representative and State Senator. Click the link in our bio to take action today.

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
