The best part of a piece might be the side that no one sees.

For a long time, I kept so much of my process private. The sketches that didn’t make the cut. The unfinished watercolor washes. The experiments, pivots, and almost-painted-over versions that happen before a piece becomes what it’s meant to be.

But the more I’ve shared those quieter, rougher moments on @Patreon, the more I’ve realized how much connection can live there, too. A piece of process that might have stayed tucked away in my sketchbook can now become the first doorway someone finds into my work.

And honestly, that has changed the way I think about sharing. Because somewhere out there is a person who might be moved by the part you almost deleted, the painting that didn’t quite work, or the rough idea you weren’t sure mattered.

Sometimes the part of the process you almost didn’t share is exactly what someone’s been waiting to find.

Over the past year, our team at Patreon has been working on new discovery features designed to help creators grow and fans find work they’ll actually care about (without all the brain rot and rage bait). Here’s a look at what’s rolling out:

🤝🏻 Collaboration tools that let creators co-author posts and cross pollinate their communities.

👤 A single identity that brings together your creator and fan presence so your voice and work travel with you across Patreon.

🛡️ New safety features and controls designed to support healthier discovery and more intentional communities.

As you’ve probably seen, I’ve been using Quips for quite some time now, and I’m so happy to share that @patreon is rolling out its new discovery features to everyone.

Patreon has become home to me. I opened my page 3 years ago, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed every interaction, every milestone, and also seeing how much the Patreon team keeps working to make this whole experience better and better.

These new discovery tools feel super organic, and they’ve made me feel lighter when it comes to sharing things online.

I can now post a thought while I’m walking down the street, discover other incredible artists through the feed, and even collaborate with them on longer posts.

For those of you who know me, you know how much passion I put into creating every single tutorial I share on Patreon. And now, I feel like I have the opportunity to grow inside the platform, have more conversations with both current and new community members, and keep building this space in a way that feels super natural. #paidbypatreon

NGL… it feels good to be discovered inside of @patreon

For a long time, it felt like I always had to push my IG and Threads audience over there to grow.

But after testing out the new Patreon discovery features, creators are finding me natively.

I’ve been testing quips, collabs, and the merged home feed, and I’ve added 2k members from actually using them. Not perfect, YET, but I pay attention to what’s working for me

And this shift? It matters.
