Big thanks to my amazing friends @vasibirchwood for making the robe and @anna.charlotte.ac for making the hat!

🔮 An opening letter to Wizardry:

As of March 9th, I’ve committed to walking the path of wizardry. Wizard, not as a static title, but as a practice.

What draws me in, as I embark on this path, is a deep curiosity for perception, imagination, and re-enchantment. Not as an escape, but as a way of rooting into reality, in both its grief and its beauty. It’s a yearning for the root of the word wizard itself: becoming a wise-ard, and exploring what it means to be wise in times like these. When we have an abundance of scientific knowledge, yet moments of connection feel scarce.

Well, as above, so below, my friend.

I call upon the Magician tarot card to play my part in mending those connections. By embracing the wizard in me, I shed the ways I make myself small. I make space for an authentic version of myself and break the curse that is the Dutch saying: “Be normal, then you’re already weird enough.”

In the words of Sophie Strand, it's replacing the image of the masculine that wields a dividing sword with one that carries a lichen-covered flowering wand that weaves a resilient web of interdependence.

And the Fool walks with me too: beginner’s mind, gut instinct, and the “I have no clue what I'm doing or where this will lead.” And that’s okay. Baby steps.

So, bear with me as I stumble and ponder my way forward, as both the fool and the wizard.

And reach out, if ever you want to invite a bit of wizardry into your life or your event, whether it's sending people on Cosmosis Quests, creating space for these kind of conversations or other forms of awe-inspired magic.

Let’s see what unfurls 🌿

On the 9th of March 2025, in the beautiful church of @ruigoord Cosmosis, and its first two Quests, were launched into the universe.

The more I work with Cosmosis, the more I realize what it’s truly about: creating a safe space in which we can practice different ways of being. A space where we are not merely disembodied observers, but where we feel part of the unfurling of it all. A space in which we can invite magical thinking, awe, enchantment, and imagination back into our lives.

The Quests, the Launch: it was all a group effort. But truly, the community was essential long before that. The courage to create Cosmosis came from the safety net of my friends, and the inner work that helped me face the intense emotions that come with creating something I truly care about. And, surprise surprise, that inner work was also facilitated by the people around me!

The Cosmosis Launch became the kind of gathering I wish happened more often: stories, music, and rituals to help us root and tend to our planet. Here’s a short recap, with photos by @serainawams

📷 2: I began with a story on why I want to become a wizard. After pledging an oath, I was initiated to be a wizard, with a beautiful robe by @vasibirchwood and beautiful hat by @anna.charlotte.ac

📷 3: Now that the wizard was there, the event could begin: Everyone was given Cosmosis Quest cards.

📷 4: @matteawueee shared a story about seeing the world with new eyes through play.

📷 5: @nicholas.thayer played an ambient set that wove threads between the tangible and intangible, as the church lifted into the sky, out of our atmosphere.

📷 6: @yvet_youssef , @timoklok and Gerben van ‘t Hag with their band A Million Years To Get Here gently guided us in our descent back to Earth.

📷 7: @puck.cezanne helped us shoot root once we landed, entangling our roots with the people around us.

📷 8: @sophie_wartenbergh closed the event with a food ritual, where we ate the Dutch landscape, so that it does not just exist outside of us, but also within us.

To Stay A Stream 🌀

What started as an experiment while visiting @denieuwkomers turned into a really nice research and creation period. I had brought a contact microphone on my visit to see if I could record some creaking wood sounds within trees. It rained heavily when I got there and when I placed the microphone I was greeted with the sound of a river. The sounds you hear in the video while water travels up the tree is the actual unedited sound I recorded within the bark. It was a big reminder that while these woody beings might seem static, they are very very much alive and breathing.

Reading The Flowering Wand by @cosmogyny and diving into Ursula K. Le Guins' work was also a huge inspiration. I believe that climate change could only have gotten to this point due to us seeing our surroundings as something that can be extracted and exploited. Trees, rivers, soil, animals, it all was reduced to resources and things, instead of living beings.

What if we use our storytelling again to dethingify, to animate the world around us? I'm feeling much passion for this, pursuing animistic storytelling, becoming a spokesperson for the trees. To use storytelling to weave intimate connections between all that lives. Wielding a flowering wand, instead of a sword.

All these experiences blended into creating this video and a newfound mesmerization for rain. I'm really happy with the result and proud to have recorded/made all of this, except for a few sound samples from the freesound.org.

A little invitation to end on: the next time you find yourself in a rainshower, before seeking shelter, see if you can catch a drip on your tongue. Can you taste which other beings it has passed through? 🧙‍♂🌿

Out of the map and into the landscape

That's the core of my manifesto, which is now accessible on my website. You'll find a link to it in my bio.

I've really enjoyed working on this over the last half year and would love to hear your thoughts :)

A compass for the work I want to create, maybe it can be of service to you as well 🌿🧙‍♂️

As the summer holiday becomes more distant again, I find myself spending more and more time in front of my screens. I know that a forest is still only a bike ride away but it’s so easy to just stay in my room and to try and find some kind of satisfaction behind my computer. Especially when there are still plenty of tasks that I love doing left on my to-do list. It feels a bit like squeezing the sponge a bit too dry too often.

It’s all about finding a certain kind of balance between the two but I haven’t found it yet. I think it’s time to give this digital detox a third attempt! 🌿

View Instagram Stories in Secret

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
