PERFORMANCE SPACE
Developing and presenting experimental performance art from across Australia and the Asia-Pacific for over 40 years.
Premonition: At the end of a dream of a cave, a portal
An atmosphere hangs weighted, falling upward toward the floor.
Rhiannon Newton and Ivey Wawn inhabit dances that have already lived. They become hosts to a constellation of memories. In a durational performance that cycles between premonition and fulfilment, each iteration emerges, transforms, and disappears.
Premonition unfolds as a shifting dreamscape, infesting the crevices of joints, nerve endings, cracks in the floor, and other dark interiors.
We hope to see you in the cave.
📆 Sat 23 & 24 May, 2–4pm
Audiences are invited to come and go as they please.

TRUCK DRIVER
A @softtreadent production presented by @sydneyoperahouse in association with Performance Space
Buckle up, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride and you’re riding shotgun.
Bev’s an outback oracle, dispensing diesel-fuelled wisdom from his 18-wheeler pulpit. He’s clocked a million miles and has a story for everyone – some tall, some true, all a window into a life lived on the road. But something’s changing in Bev’s world and it’s not just the gears.
Part comedy, part meditation on a changing Australia, this solo show is the latest genre-defying work from Jonny Hawkins (@auntyjonny) and Nell Ranney (@nellranney).
Strap in for a journey that’s equal parts laughter and reflection, with a few detours into the surreal. And please, keep an eye out for roos.

ANNOUNCEMENT: SCARY PIECE OF WORK
Sydney Opera House Presents in association with Performance Space
Produced by FORM Dance Projects
Fear is everywhere
Choreographer Martin del Amo takes on one of our most primal emotions: fear. The result is a strange, darkly funny solo performance blending intimate storytelling and compelling movement sequences. Spotlights stalk the darkness. Sound erupts without warning. Even his own voice begins to distort.
As Martin navigates ever-shifting terrain, the stage itself seems to conspire against him, building into a vivid fever dream – Fred Astaire meets Nosferatu at Eurovision, with Hitchcock as MC.
Step into a world where fear is never what it seems. Enter at your own peril…

The Experimental Choreographic Program has wrapped for another year! And we’re celebrating 10 years since its inception in 2016.
Presented by PSpace and @critical_path_, in the last decade the ECP has become a vital platform for choreographers working experimentally, fostering rigorous artistic inquiry and advancing bold, innovative, and interdisciplinary approaches to movement practice.
In 2026, Experimental Choreographic Resident Tamara Elkins (@tamaraelkinsartist) used her time in Critical Path’s Drill Hall to develop a movement vocabulary using the premise that gestures and movements can act as a form of sigil spell work. The choreography will be performed in the new major work ‘Even a Colossus’ by @katybplummer.
Our Experimental Choreographic Lab saw five incredible movement artists come together to expand their practice over two weeks with facilitator Martin Del Amo. Using collective time, space, resources, and mentorship the group took creative risks and developed new work in a supportive environment. The lab culminated in a dynamic (sold out!) public showing where Phaedra Brown (@phaedrabrownie), Agustin Elaskar (@a.gooch.thing), Nasim Patel (@nasimulacrum), MaggZ (@magg._z) and Ryuichi Fujimura (@ryuichifujimura3) shared their work-in-progress with audiences and the wider sector.
We’re already excited for ECP 2027 and the next 10 years of this landmark program.

We’re proud to be a part of the Experimental Commissioning Consortium (ECC) – a new multi-year, multi-organisation initiative that scaffolds independent artists to make ambitious work.
The ECC is a newly convened group of organisations around Australia devoted to the development and presentation of independent and experimental art and performance. It seeks to foster cross-sector collaboration to generate increased mobility and opportunity for artists.
The program includes three pillars: an experimental laboratory to incubate work, a commissioning circle to bring work into development, and a national touring network.
Participating organisations: Abbotsford Convent (@abbotsfordconvent), Arts House (@artshouse), Assembly 197 (@assembly.197), Cementa (@cementafestival), Dancehouse (@dancehouse.melb), Metro Arts (@metroarts), PACT (@pact_sydney), Performance Space, PICA (@pica_perth), Punctum (@punctuminc), Superposition (@superpositionfestival), The Substation (@thesubstation), The Unconformity (@theunconformity), Utp (@utp___), Vitalstatistix (@vitalstatistix_), Wired Lab (@thewiredlab). The ECC is supported by Creative Australia (@creative.australia).

The Instagram Story Viewer is an easy tool that lets you secretly watch and save Instagram stories, videos, photos, or IGTV. With this service, you can download content and enjoy it offline whenever you like. If you find something interesting on Instagram that you’d like to check out later or want to view stories while staying anonymous, our Viewer is perfect for you. Anonstories offers an excellent solution for keeping your identity hidden. Instagram first launched the Stories feature in August 2023, which was quickly adopted by other platforms due to its engaging, time-sensitive format. Stories let users share quick updates, whether photos, videos, or selfies, enhanced with text, emojis, or filters, and are visible for only 24 hours. This limited time frame creates high engagement compared to regular posts. In today’s world, Stories are one of the most popular ways to connect and communicate on social media. However, when you view a Story, the creator can see your name in their viewer list, which may be a privacy concern. What if you wish to browse Stories without being noticed? Here’s where Anonstories becomes useful. It allows you to watch public Instagram content without revealing your identity. Simply enter the username of the profile you’re curious about, and the tool will display their latest Stories. Features of Anonstories Viewer: - Anonymous Browsing: Watch Stories without showing up on the viewer list. - No Account Needed: View public content without signing up for an Instagram account. - Content Download: Save any Stories content directly to your device for offline use. - View Highlights: Access Instagram Highlights, even beyond the 24-hour window. - Repost Monitoring: Track the reposts or engagement levels on Stories for personal profiles. Limitations: - This tool works only with public accounts; private accounts remain inaccessible. Benefits: - Privacy-Friendly: Watch any Instagram content without being noticed. - Simple and Easy: No app installation or registration required. - Exclusive Tools: Download and manage content in ways Instagram doesn’t offer.
Keep track of Instagram updates discreetly while protecting your privacy and staying anonymous.
View profiles and photos anonymously with ease using the Private Profile Viewer.
This free tool allows you to view Instagram Stories anonymously, ensuring your activity remains hidden from the story uploader.
